The funny thing is that what you described there is what Drudge has always called his biggest "story."
When the Lewinsky bombshell broke on his website, he didn't even believe that the Clinton-Lewinsky mess was really the story he was breaking. To him, the REAL story was that Newsweek had this huge bombshell in its own hands and was sitting on the story for political reasons (to protect Clinton).

Exactly right.
Also, notice the use of “alleged” and “allegedly” in this story and other liberal news stories. The love that word when it can smear a conservative or when they are trying to diminish the impact of a liberal scandal. But the word disappears from their stories when conditions are the opposite.
