U.S. Rep. Stephen F. Lynch says its time for the Democratic Party to get back to its roots and refocus on speaking about the issues facing white, blue-collar workers now that the Republican Party has seized control of the White House and retained both the House and Senate.
This is a rebuilding year, I think we have to look at the results and where our weaknesses are, an introspective Lynch told the Herald yesterday, three days after President-elect Donald Trump cruised to a surprise victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
We are very, very progressive and sometimes we overlook that there are people in this country who struggle who happen to be white, Lynch said. They are going to work every day and they havent had a raise in a long, long time, but the Democrats dont talk much about them.
White voters, who made up roughly 70 percent of the electorate, overwhelmingly supported Trump over Clinton by 21 points, according to exit polling data.

Or as one Dem recently wrote to another: "I love you (no homo)." ;-)
they wish
the coming investigations will pit one against the other and shatter what ever seems to shake free of the disaster
no one can trust any one
The democrats just need more spanish speaking presenters and followers of islam at their conventions. That’ll fix it.
I’m sick of the word “democrat.” Furthermore, why would anyone care what these creatures think at this point? Let’s move on and observe and support what Trump and his gang are up to. :-)
>>We are very, very progressive and sometimes we overlook that there are people in this country who struggle who happen to be white
...who happen to be white racist devils that we want to enslave with out Marxist policies and we can’t figure out why they don’t vote for us.
How’s that racial pandering working out for you geniuses? There are still many more Whites than minorities in this country. That’s why they call them “minorities.”
I thought Lena Dunham proclaimed that it was time for white males to die?

Yep, so their first step to get back white voters, is to put a Muslim in charge of the of the DNC.
get back to its roots
Does that mean that democrats will go back to wearing white sheets, goofy pointed hats and burning crosses on the weekends, or does it mean that they will start capturing and selling off Black people?
At first glace, I thought it was Lor-etta.
I’ve seen a lot of talk the last few days of a Democrat “tea party”. LMAO.
One point I disagree with: Republicans won pretty much without hordes of Hispanics. So I imagine Democrats’ autopsy report is going to say how can we get more transgenders to vote?
Considering how much DIMS hate White people, this may prove difficult.
Well, both Obama and Trump appeared out of the blue, so I wouldn’t be too sanguine about nobody being in the bullpen. In American politics, superstars do tend to appear out of nowhere. We are a cyclical country so we must always keep an eye on the opposition.
NO MORE ACCEPTING THE TERM “PROGRESSIVE” BY OUR SIDE
“PROGRESSIVE” MEANS COMMUNIST.
PERIOD
REFUSE/RESIST THEIR PROPAGANDA.
It sure worked for Hillary.
“Rebuilding Year”???!!!
More like decades of Jerrymandering and Redistricting!
Has this idiot looked at the Red/blue voting map of the US?
Memo to Democrats. The situation, financial stability or instability and mood of the voter far outweighs the race and identity of “Identity Politics’.
Bottom line. Your political policies and contempt pissed off enough voters to help you destroy your own “omniscient” political party!
Will Dems be ready in 2018 to defend 23 Senators? See the list.

My advice for the left is cyanide pills.
I have nothing better to say.
We need to keep fighting though, our side tends to go back to the easy chair after the election.
Let’s just not do that.
