Two of the writers who worked on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story jumped into the political fray on Friday with not-so subtle anti-Donald Trump messages.
Please note that the Empire is a white supremacist (human) organization, screenwriter Chris Weitz tweeted. Gary Whitta, who also worked on the film, followed up by adding, Opposed by a multi-cultural group led by brave women.

As I understand it, the Star Wars universe postulates a glorious Republic in which there was a Jedi Council, a Jedi Library, and a Jedi Academy. Many Jedi knights roamed the galaxy making sure that people behaved as expected.
Meanwhile, there was a single Sith Lord, with a single apprentice, and they had to hide in the shadows.
The Jedi constantly sought out the Sith for destruction — because if the universe had both Light (Jedi) and Dark (Sith) it would be totally -— TOTALLY — unbalanced. It was often said that balance could not be restored to the Force until every last Sith was destroyed and only the Jedi remained, to rule unchecked in every way.
I — ahem — definitely think the Democrats see themselves as Jedi.
Funny, you are!
Actually, it was pretty good. Action packed action. Sucked the viewer right in.
It wasn’t until you stopped and thought about it that the story itself became ludicrous.
I wasn’t going to see it anyway. Saw the last one, and thought it was nothing but bright flashing lights and bang bang with no plot.
Trump will be our Darth Vader. . . only he’ll get the Death Star finished on time and under budget.
And then he’ll crush the Democrat Rebellion.
I’m just saying. . .
I’m amazed how many people shrugged their shoulders when I told them TFA was political. Its all ‘God tier flawless feminist’ saves galaxy from evil white men. Rogue 1 looks about the same way.
And without that glaring design flaw of an exhaust port leading straight to the reactor that is poorly defended and unshielded.

Donald Trumps real-estate company is planning to open its closely watched Washington, D.C., hotel project ahead of schedule, a move that could help underscore the Republican presidential candidates skills as a real-estate developer.

Disney better get a grip on these people before they do damage to an American brand i.e. Star Wars. Just shut up and write a script
There's a line of thought that 'Rey' is actually a descendant of 'Palpatine' (the emperor) or even Palpatine himself.
Nerds have gone back through episode 3 and noticed that she swings the lightsaber just like him and it would explain why she could master the force so fast...
Or it's a stupid movie that all about 'gurl powur'.
I have been looking for a reason to not see this next movie. I now have it. The latest one seemed to be a rehash of the very first one, with a PC cast and story.
If you look at it in a political context or if there are a lot of other stories out with the same political slant, it will look political.
But for people who just want entertainment it's just entertainment (if it works).
Yeah I’ve been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid - the last movie put me off a bit and now ... why can’t they just tell a good story and leave their sh&$ ideas out of it... now I’m pretty much done. Damn shame.
Star Wars, 1977....The Empire Strikes Back, 1980....and Return of the Jedi, 1983 were all great movies.
The rest of them all sucked, and each new movie only gets worse.
I won’t be seeing this crap.
Trump/Pence 2020!
You expect these numnuts to be critical thinker and actually pay attention to dialogue? All they come to watch is the titillation and CGI.
“im rooting for the empire”
Same here. I always rooted for Darth Vader instead of having a faggot son in Luke.
Produced by JJ Abrams who signed that TrekNotTrump petition along other Star Trek has-been actors.
Listen up folks: I’ve NEVER seen the new SW movie, even though I have the screen copies given to me by my friends in the biz. Anyone beat that?
The Yorkshire Terrier tribe shut that mother down.
