Voters upset that Republican Donald Trump had been elected president -- or think that the presidency was unfairly taken from Democratic rival Hillary Clinton -- are scrambling for ways to change the results.
Their major focus is trying to get members of the U.S. Electoral College to change their vote, arguing that Clinton should be the next president because 60.47 Americans voted for her, compared to 60 million for Trump.
The college is part of the Constitution and is composed of 538 members, with each state and the District of Columbia having one member, or electorate, for every senator or House lawmaker.
Trump won 290 of the so-called electoral votes, in the race to get a minimum 270.
However, members dont officially cast their ballots until December 19, which has Trump opponents making long-shot efforts to reverse the outcome, including petition drives to get the electorates to switch their votes.

Is there a counter petition for Trump supporters to sign? Those who believe in our republic and the constitution need to have our voices heard loud and clear. It seems that the liberals and many in the media think that the election is still going on.
Neither candidate got over 50% in ten states.
Some analyst on Fox close to the campaign said that there was a fair number of Clinton supporters who assumed she would win easily and so they voted for Trump in protest. All of those people helped elect Trump. They didn’t realize it would be so close and didn’t realize Hillary would lose. By voting for Trump they wanted to keep the vote totals close to sent a message to Hillary.
It was pointless because Hillary would have ignored anything except her newfound power.
But now these pro-Clinton protest voters have remorse over having helped elect Trump, assuming enough of them voted in the battleground states to make a difference, and they want to change.
Well tough. It is an arrow you launch one time. You don’t get it back.
On the tiny chance some of these protest voters were the difference in Trump winning NC or Florida or other swing state, all I can say is “thanks for playing.” I appreciate it.
Show them what the map looks like by county. That will shut them up.
I don’t know why people are seriously worried about this. Hint: Obama wouldn’t have killed TPP if he thought for a second Trump would have the presidency pulled out from under him.
I don’t think either number is totally correct.
How many absentee and mail-in ballots were actually counted? I am under the impression that neither class of ballots are actually counted unless the split between the two political parties is extremely close - think Florida in 2000.
If I am correct then Hillary’s total vote counte could end up lower, perhaps much lower, than Trump’s. Then what?
Absolutely........
My bad. Took another Freeper’s word for it; they must’ve mean AZ, not MI.
Michigan is still manufacturing votes for That Bitch, LOL!
He’ll have 306 when it’s all said and done. If not, 290 is still a nice number and won’t help That Bitch, anyways.
Best. Election. Ever. EVER!
Crossed wires with another Freeper. See Post 89.
Ok.
That makes sense.
Sounds like the making of a pretty damned good DO NOT HIRE LIST!
Diana, from Ray76’s link I found this, where the Mich SoS said there weren’t enough votes to change President-Elect Trump’s win there:
Terrific news!
Google can’t bring themselves to update it yet. Figures!
It could if the names were actually of real people who signed it themselves.
What I fear has happened is that someone was just grabbing names out of a phone book and filling in blanks.
How do I know MY name isn’t on there?
Nothing is stopping someone who is unscrupulous from adding names of whoever they feel like, or maybe don’t like even, just to cause trouble for them.
I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past these people.
I’m not aware of any petition from conservatives.
You seem to be utterly unfamiliar with what happened over the past 100 years.
I am familiar with how and why the Federal Reserve was created whatever my failing may be in crackpot history.
