Forty-six of the electoral college votes President-elect Donald Trump won on his way to a resounding 306 to 232 electoral college victory over Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton came from three states where his combined margin of victory was only 108,600 votes.
No major media outlet has yet called Michigan for Trump, but a spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office told Breitbart News on Thursday “there’s no reason to believe there will be large numbers of votes that will be found subsequent to the current reporting.”
Clinton’s inattention on the campaign trail to these three “Rust Belt” states cost her dearly.
As The Week, points out, Hillary Clinton failed to visit Wisconsin, even once, after April.
It could have been even worse for the Clinton campaign. Trump, who only visited Minnesota once during the last month of the campaign (an overflow rally held Sunday at the Minneapolis airport), almost won that traditionally liberal state’s 10 electoral college votes as well.
Trump won Pennsylvania, with its 20 electoral college votes, by 68,236 votes, Wisconsin, with its 10 electoral college votes, by 27,257 votes, and Michigan, with its 16 electoral college votes, by 13,107 votes.
Had those 108,600 votes gone to Hillary Clinton, she would have won the presidency with a a 278 to 260 electoral college victory over Trump. (Though New Hampshire, with its 4 electoral college votes has not yet been called, Clinton holds a 1,614 vote margin there–0.2 percent of votes cast in the state– with 100 percent of precincts reporting.)
Clinton won the popular vote by 0.2 percent, or about 200,000 votes out of a total of 120 million total votes cast.
A key shift of less than 0.1 percent of those votes–108,600–would have given us President-elect Clinton instead of President-elect Trump.

I agree, and am very happy with the election outcome. I would have preferred Cruz, but I don’t believe he would have won the general election. Not through any fault of his own, but I’m sure the enemedia would have had a much easier time rallying their base against him.
I don’t know if a true social conservative with Judeo-Christian values can win a national election anymore; we are undoubtedly losing the culture war.
60.47 Million Votes X 8 = $483,760,000 - almost half a Billion Dollars spent by Hillary.
VERSUS:
60 Million Votes X 4 = $240,000,000 - almost a quarter Billion spent by Trump. (cheap in today’s Politics)
I did read somewhere that Hillary spent $10 a Vote to Trump’s $5 a Vote.
I imagine those three states have uncounted absentee ballots that almost certainly would increase his lead?
I bet when the final FEC paperwork is in, Hillary will have spent much more than the $1+ BILLION that Obama spent in 2012 to be reelected.

I am also focusing on 2020 elections. I think if we
1, really get most illegals out, that would be one factor to increase our margin of victory because they can’t illegally vote if they aren’t here.
2. Things going really well on all fronts would help (economic upturn, decrease of terrorism, law and order in general, sane tax policies, justice)
3. The media (like the NYT says it is ) making an effort to report honestly.
4. Pollsters perhaps becoming more honest after their embarrassment?
5. The GOPe repenting or getting routed?
6. Continued reach out to the AA and hispanic community, really addressing their particular concerns in concrete ways.
Any other ideas? Thoughts?

On that front she was a terrible candidate. I was unhappy with the lack of fire from Romney and McCain; she makes them look like real troopers. She was nothing but a shadow.
Were I a Dem I’d be furious with her.
May have been health related. I am certain she is seriously ill.
My Michigan vote was one of those votes.
This election eliminates forever the idea that voting doesn’t matter. We know individuals can change the world- We did!

Democrats need to remember that a party that only appeals to a few parts of the country brings about regionalism; regionalism caused the Civil War.
I didn’t expect her to live out her term if she had been elected. It is so politically incorrect but we should almost start a dead pool on her. Or at least a pool for when she finally admits how ill she is.
I’ll bet he eventually ends up with the most popular votes, too. I haven’t heard that final yet. Guess they have to wade through the glitches, illegals, dead and multi-times voters.
I hope somebody will put a bug in Trump’s ear about the illegals voting. If he rolls back Obama’s executive orders protecting them it might happen.
I think we need Federal voter photo ID for all Federal elections.
