The moment I heard this I went straight to Amazon and bought myself a new pair of their trail runners. They'll be getting more of my business in the future.

Nothing to do with politics but NB makes $hit when it comes to walking shoes. Loved my first pair, ordered exact but updated and same size was too small so had to jump through hoops to get replacement. Now they’ve decomposed inside to the point I’m throwing them away. Never again.

My husband wears a leg brace that requires him to wear a certain model of New Balance shoes.

I just went to a couple New Balance outlet stores last week, hoping to get four pairs of shoes, but they were both out of his shoes. They said they’ll get them again in February. We could get them at a retail store, but the price difference is about $20-30 per pair. We decided to wait.

With this latest news, I’ve decided to go ahead and pick up one pair right away at a retail store. And I’ll tell them why I’m shopping with them.

I am tired of them (they DO get washed regularly) and want to get a new pair.

In my neck of the woods, NB has traditionally been the frumpy brand which caters to old coots. Nothing wrong with that, and maybe they've youthend their image in recent years. :)

There is a great sale on the New Balance lo level Gore Tex boots at Cabelas.

I got a pair last fall. I’m supposed to walk a mile and half every day, which can be tough with rainy weather.

These boots were as comfortable as normal walking shoes for the first rainy day Last November to the last day this May.

I didn’t miss a day walking due to the rainy season we had last year.

The boots look like new after a year of hard wear and zero maintenance.

Buy a pair for the up coming rain/sleet/snow and rivers of liberal tears.
