A petition on Change.org calling for the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton as President has earned over half of the signatures needed for it to be sent to the governing body.
The petition, launched on Wednesday after Donald Trump was elected President, calls for the Electoral College to “ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.”
Although Trump won over the 270 necessary electoral votes to secure the Presidency, Clinton narrowly earned the nation’s popular vote.
The Electoral College – which was first introduced in 1804 – is comprised of 538 electors. Each state’s number of electors is decided by its number of members in Congress, which is dependent on the state’s population. So, when American citizens cast their ballots, they aren’t directly voting for president – they’re voting for electors. This year, Trump took 279, to Clinton’s 228.

I don't think so. This last bit seems to rule that out.
Today, it is rare for Electors to disregard the popular vote by casting their electoral vote for someone other than their party's candidate. Electors generally hold a leadership position in their party or were chosen to recognize years of loyal service to the party. Throughout our history as a nation, more than 99 percent of Electors have voted as pledged.

But really, if Trump had to win the popular vote, maybe he would have made a few stops in CA and NY. He was playing to win at poker and these idiots are saying let’s pretend we were playing blackjack.

I think it was 700,000 illegals signed up to vote when they got their drivers license this year. And they know they were not checked out to vote, so I believe you’re right.
The writer of the article was obviously not a math major. 279+228 does NOT equal 538. What happened to the missing 31 electors?

The math is fine. There are states that have not been added to the tally as of yet. Arizona and Michigan are two of them.
In the meantime millions of people voted FOR Trump to be president.

Wee Barry taught "SOCIAL JUSTICE LAW", when he bothered to show up at U of C, which wasn't often. He was NOT a professor, nor was he any kind of "prof" at all; he was a "visiting" something or other ( sorry, can't remember the exact title right now ), during his time there. In truth, Obama was an AA hire, with NO credentials, no skills, no real title, who taught a WORTHLESS class, and was supposed to be writing his book at that time, but wasn't even doing that.

Kind of makes you wonder why some states are willing to DISENFRANCHISE so many otherwise legal ballots when they are cast by serving military personnel, or folks who have to work outside the country.
