A petition on Change.org calling for the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton as President has earned over half of the signatures needed for it to be sent to the governing body.
The petition, launched on Wednesday after Donald Trump was elected President, calls for the Electoral College to “ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.”
Although Trump won over the 270 necessary electoral votes to secure the Presidency, Clinton narrowly earned the nation’s popular vote.
The Electoral College – which was first introduced in 1804 – is comprised of 538 electors. Each state’s number of electors is decided by its number of members in Congress, which is dependent on the state’s population. So, when American citizens cast their ballots, they aren’t directly voting for president – they’re voting for electors. This year, Trump took 279, to Clinton’s 228.

Maybe the Constitution should be ammended to say that it is the RULE OF THE MOB, and not the RULE OF LAW.

All the votes are not counted. Arizona just finished today, Michigan still working on it. Trump has 290 electoral votes and popular vote is very close.

Mrs Bill won by a tiny margin of the announced total. For the real legitimate vote you have to subtract the fraud. Broward County FL probably accounts for upwards f 100,000 votes due to the destruction of most of the Republican absentee ballots. The shredders were caught and fired but the votes wre not reclaimed. Three other counties, Dade, St Lucie, andPalm Beach likely produced many thousands of fraudulent votes. Then there are the big northe and midwestern Democrat controlled cities. Back in the 60s it was the standard assumption that the Republican candidate had to win the legitimate vote by a million to break even in the final tally. It is surely much higher now with systems much more sophisticated.
He’s got more than 279 now, but of course that won’t be printed by MSM.
