Former Republican presidential candidate John Kasich confessed on Monday evening that he wrote in Arizona Sen. John McCain for president on his early voting ballot instead of Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Chris Schrimpf, the governor's political spokesman, confirmed to Cleveland.com that the Ohio governor voted straight-ticket Republican on the rest of his ballot, but stood by his July promise not to vote for the billionaire businessman.

They tried to use Trump’s honesty against him. They knew he wouldn’t make that pledge unless he meant it. Meanwhile, the establishment politicians have no problem promising anything because they are not honorable. They will lie about anything.

Confession time. I voted for Kasich in the primary, and gave him money. I thought he was the guy, despite his annoying personality. At the same time, I thought Trump was a fool.

I just vote for Trump, and now I am left wondering why Kasich wants Clinton to be POTUS. I’m wondering why any Republican wants Clinton to be POTUS.

Guess my first impression was wrong. Lesson learned.

A damned liar, too.

Piece of filth promised to respect the will of voters in the Republican primaries. They are the people who shall hold him accountable in future elections.

Hmm...now I hadn’t thought of that. Could it mean psychologically he never believed he deserved to be president?

If he were the only presidential candidate, I’d vote for my cat. This guy is MAJOR stoopid. Oh, and did I mention he is also petty and vicious? What a disgrace to the human race this clown is.

Kasich voted for Hillary. I’d put money on it. At the very least, if he didn’t vote for Trump, that’s what it amounted to.

Cruz endorsed Trump and said he’d be voting for him. It’s long past time to stop lumping him in with those who are trying to help Hillary.

It’s kind of pitiful, isn’t it? That poor, self-loathing son-of-a-milkman.

One more reason I’m glad he’s not our nominee!

Unfortunately, if the American public views him as representative of members of the Christian faith, the Christian faith will be considered as a pool of fools....

“It’s long past time to stop lumping him in with those who are trying to help Hillary.”

I am way past that place. Ted Scruze isn't a man who can be trusted. In very real terms, he operates a lot LIKE Hillary in that what HE wants supersedes everything else, and he will go to whatever lengths are necessary, to get what HE wants. The sleazy stuff he pulled in Iowa showed me that he cannot be trusted. That he is devoid of a moral compass. The idea of him in the White House is almost as chilling as having Hillary there. Sorry, but with me, when you break your trust with the people, you're on my political $hit list forever! And I started out this campaign season in favor of a Trump/Cruz ticket. I'm just sorry Texas is going to re-elect him to the Senate, because Texas is now still left with two POS for Senators!

Kasich is a stupid man.

The country is on the brink of being destroyed and he throws his vote away in a way that helps Hillary.

After Trump moves into the White House Kasich will still be stupid but he will be lonely too.
