Do not fall for the narrative that Comey announced his investigation because it was the right thing to do or he was some how going after Hillary.
Other FBI agents came across this information during their investigation. Realizing what they had in hand they knew they now had hard evidence of Hillary's criminal activity. Not willing to sit on this news they would have come forth on their own or leaked it to others.
A decision was made to get in front of it and put on the best face possible. A letter was crafted that allowed for Hillary to deny any wrong doing, while putting a lid on any potential leaks.

I’ve been wondering where Huma’s been. Being Hill’s long time confidant (among other activities), one would think she’d be by HRC’s side to support, comfort and reassure her.

I'm sure the Anthony Weiner "sexting" case started with the NYPD and New York City's child protective services department, so they were probably aware of the evidence even before the FBI was.
Here's the thing, too ... I suspect the senior people in the Trump campaign knew about all this even before Comey did.
I’m sure the NYPD is filled with senior brass who owe their careers to a former NYC mayor named Rudy Giuliani.

Remember that the original subject of the investigation was the young child sitting next to Weiner on the couch in one or more of Weiner’s “sext” messages. I believe this whole thing started as an investigation by NYC’s child protective services. There was even speculation at the time that they would take temporary custody of the kid.
Healthy attitude. I am praying for “bombshells” in addition to this that prove beyond *shadow of a doubt* Hillary is not fit to lead.

I agree. Comey is trying to spin this away until after the election.
I am not holding my breasth for a special prosecutor or the convening of a Grand Jury.
What Comey is creating without appointing a special prosecutor and a grand jury , is creating a constitutional crisis in our nation of laws.
We have no law with Comey and Lynch in charge. They will hold out for a presidential pardon .
There is no reason to delay appointment of a special prosecutor or the convening of a grand jury, yet we are still involved with a public report of a so called continuing investigation? The FBI agents in revolt should publish the evidence they have if there is no grand jury convened.

My theory is the perv deleted his emails, pictures, and everything else that might incriminate him. But deleting can be reversed by sophisticated investigators. They should have smashed the laptop with a hammer like Hillary's blackberries. In any case when an investigator is looking for deleted data he cannot distinguish between what belongs to which party.

I don’t trust Comey at all. Hillary has goods on him. He has to act like he did an investigation, then clear her just before election.

Well, if the Hillary fans are the majority of voters then we are not only already screwed, we have also been forced to dig our own grave, hit in the back of the head with the shovel, pushed in, and covered up with dirt.

Yep. It sounds like the NYPD was in possession of the computers before the FBI could make the emails disappear.

Here is my theory.
Comey has millions in ill gotten gains from Billary.
So he put people he has the goods on to investigate Billary.
Meanwhile all these other investigations going on.
The NYCPD Special Crimes is investigating Weiner and uncovers tons of crap that is outside Comey “The Weasels” control. He can’t destroy it OR cover it up due to it being in possession of an outside agency.
Oh, crap! He has to go public with it.
It is obvious that this is NOT due to serious evidence, or threats to national security because by just setting up the server to obstruct justice that bar was already met.
Of course we have been hearing about the mutiny in the FBI, so that put more pressue on Comey as well. This is likely worse that we’ve heard. The problem is that Comey cannot fire anyone, as they will go to the press.
