1. Call a Black person articulate.
Instead: Because of a long history of oppression, degradation, and dismissal of the talent and skills of Black people, understand that such a statement coming from a white person is often construed, and meant, as meaning articulate-ness is something unusual in a Black person.
2. Say one of my best friends is [black, Latino, person of color, etc.].
Instead: Ask yourself first: Do you know where that person shops for groceries? Where they go to church? Where they get their hair cut? What their childrens/granchildrens names are? Have you ever been to their home? These are the things you know about a best friend.
3. Say that the success of [Oprah, Bill Cosby, Michael Jordan, etc.] show that theres no longer any racism.
Instead: Ask yourself about Madame CJ Walker. She was a millionaire, the first black millionaire, in the early part of the 20th century. Lynchings were still going on. No one would say things were equal then, but she was a famous millionaire. The real question is how many more people like Oprah etc would there be if there were equality?
4. Say that if anyone works hard they will get ahead.
Instead: Understand and accept that this is one of the operative myths of our culture: the meritocracy. Any comparative statistic of all the socio-economic indicators shows that structural inequality is the reality. A lot of people who are working hard are not getting ahead.
5. Say that it doesnt matter what color Jesus was, it matters what Jesus did, while insisting that pictures of him must be white.
Instead: Consider that if it really didnt matter to you, we could make him Black.

Fewer.”
Zing!

The problem is that it IS unusual in many inner city blacks. Perhaps your time would be better spent trying to improve the language skills of black children which can be an obstacle to success. Lack of language skills is not just a problem for blacks. Not speaking proper english also impacts whites with Southern accents, Brooklyn accents, Spanish, Cockney, etc. How you speak impacts people’s impression of your intelligence and education.

Meaning: You do not really have any black friends you white devil.

What Ms walker’s experience proves is that even in times of real racism a person who works hard, has drive and initiative and a positive attitude can succeed. It is doubtful she would have succeeded if she surrounded herself with naysayers. The real question is many more black millionaires would there be if more blacks used Ms Walker as a model?

There WAS a meritocracy which was both fair and worked great before it started being dismantled because so few minorities were able to meet standards routinely achieved by white men eiter academically or in the civil service. Ever hear of the SAT? Rather than tear down the concept of “qualifications” and “hard work” as being racist, find out why so few minorities can successfully compete and FIX THAT. PS, it has NOTHING to do with racism.
More to follow later...maybe.
But, it does point out the HUGE hypocrisy of the left .. which automatically assumes all black people are the same cookie cutter people .. I JUST WON’T ACCEPT THAT. I’ve known and worked with so many, many wonderful people from other countries, other races, to ever try to lump any of them into one category.
I know why the left uses that word .. why they do other things; they’re truly racist .. and they just want the world to believe instead that it’s the Repubs.
The #1 stupid thing (some) white people do is giving credence to that racist crap.
Im following your exchange and chuckling, remembering an old white guy who once lived next door to me. The guy was a racist with the best intentions who just could not hear himself or fathom the effect of his words from any perspective other than his own.
One morning he called me on the phone, very excited, and said, “Quick! Look out the window.”
I looked out, perplexed, expecting to see a dead body in the street, which was far too common in the neighborhood.
But no, nothing. Flowers blooming, bees buzzing. The middle-aged black dude across the street, a homeowner, was mowing his own yard.
“That’s what I’m talking about!!” said my neighbor. “We should go over there together! And commend him! For being so responsible!”
“Whut?” sez I. “Aw, jeez. No. That’s just gonna sound racist.”
“Why racist? He should be PROUD to be complimented! Haven’t you ever heard of black pride? And if we commend him, maybe the other black people will hear about it, and be encouraged to be more responsible too! “
Whaddaya mean WE, paleface, certainly applied here.
After trying in vain to explain to him there was nothing unusual about a man mowing his own yard on a Saturday morning, I just gave up and told him he was on his own. No way would I go with him and participate in his condescension.
I also suspected that, if the “other black people” heard about it, “WE” would be more likely to get a tire-slashing or an ass-kicking, not gratitude and resolve to be more responsible.
A few minutes later I’m getting in my car to run errands, and the old white guy is over there, trying to give the old black guy a dollar! To pay him —and compliment him —for mowing his own yard!
He’s saying, “Take this dollar! Take it! As a token of my appreciation for what you’re doing!” and trying to shove the dollar into his hand.
And the black man is backing away, staring at him the way you’d stare at a turd in a punchbowl, in utter disbelief.
LOL.
Maybe whitey should just not associate with blacks at all.
This crap really makes you wonder if it’s worth bothering with.
I don’t have to just take this, I can just leave it.
This list was put together mostly by self-hating WHITES.
They are quickly becoming society’s number one problem.
Check out the guilt ridden delusionals that created that list...

I’m not sure even your average black would have any respect for them, despite the fact that they’re trying so hard to ingratiate themselves to them.
1)Last person to say that was Joe Biden!!!!!
The rest of the farticle is too incoherent to respond to.
Being a liberal Democrat, Joe Biden, probably is a racist.
Wow. That’s wild.
Yeah. Some people can’t IMAGINE what could wrong with saying something provided it’s factually true. How could Condi Rice conceivably mind being called articulate, since she IS articulate.
We have several Nigerian priests around here. When one of them was standing outside after his first Mass in a parish, some people greeted him: “Good morning, Father...Uh...We have a little black dog at home!”
Yeesh! That’s cringeworthy.
Silky straight and fade cream must be abolished to achieve purity
To that I say, "So What?".
Remember that SJW's only have power if you allow them to have it. "I Don't Care What You Think" is the easiest way to put their relevance in perspective.
Didn’t we all learn when we were kids if we complained all the time we’d have no friends. Not all of us, I guess.
You already know this, but I’m still throwing it out there:
Anti-racist is code for “anti-white”.
I did not invent the atomic bomb, but I did refine and perfect it.
11. Quickly resort to violence as a solution to any and all conflicts, no matter how small and inconsequential.
12. Misogyny as a cultural marker.
