Early Colorado Vote

Posted on 10/21/2016 12:58:45 PM PDT by goldstategop

I've left the GOP and registered again as Independent voter.

I voted Trump at the top of the ballot and voted Libertarian down the ballot in protest at the Republican Party's sabotage of our nominee and collusion to elect Hillary.

Voted NO on major propositions, tax increases and to kick out all incumbent judges.

Was a great feeling and a good early vote here this afternoon for me in my rural Colorado county.

voted for trump and the local state R ticket, but refused to vote for that idiot Darryl Glenn, who has zero chance anyway, so thought I’d help send a message.

voted against all the tax increases.

will hand carry our ballots rather than risk the mail.

boulder county offers ballot tracking via:

https://boulder.ballottrax.net/voter/login#/

don’t know if any other Colorado counties offer this.

I voted no confidence in the GOP.

It needs to clean up its act.

If it doesn’t, its majority will be gone by the next election.

They keep taking our vote for granted.

Congratulations on your vote!

I was excited to vote this year.

I didn’t even bother to vote Mitt in 2012. Couldn’t stand him.

A lot more people feel the same way this year about Hillary than they let on.

Trump would probably sign about 90% of the bills that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer put on his desk.

You are a liar.

Spoke with my Congressman’s office told them they had Paul Ryan to thank for losing my vote.

Usually nothing weird about it. Party position listings on the ballot are usually scrambled and chosen by lot. In some areas it’s done by county or district. I don’t think it’s statewide.

You're whistling past the graveyard. I've been around New York City long enough that I know how these big real estate people operate.

One of the things I like about Trump is that he's not a political person.

The downside of this is that over the course of even 2-3 short years he's probably taken five different positions on any important issue.

Trump isn’t a politician.

People don’t expect him to be one.

That said, he’s preferable to Crooked Hillary and her big government, nanny state, open borders platform.

Good to hear!

In the Kansas Congressional 1st district, I’m bypassing the GOPe establishment candidate, Roger Marshall, and going with the independent candidate, Alan LaPolice. LaPolice is a much more solid conservative candidate than Marshall.

Marshall lost me when the GOPe establishment come in and spent a ton of money to defeat Huelskamp, a solid conservative himself. Boehner posted a toast on social media when Huelskamp was defeated. That’s all you need to know about the phoney Roger Marshall.

Now that the dem candidate for the 1st district has dropped out, that does give the more solid conservative candidate, LaPolice, a good chance. I hope my fellow Kansans consider what happened in the primaries and give LaPolice a consideration.

I voted no confidence in the GOP.

Wrong.

You just voted for who ever the winner ultimately is.

You abandoned the team.

If it is the (R) who wins, you did nothing to help them win and they won in spite of your vote. They didn't need you anyway.

If the (D) wins it's because the (R) didn't get enough votes; you sure as hell didn't do anything to prevent the (D) win.

You and voters like you are the ones to blame for a (D) victory.

If the (D) wins you will be an assignable cause for the (D) win.

You go ahead and feel really special for your "protest" vote.

Trump is a politician now, and if he wins this election he is going to operate like a political animal for as long as he's in office.

On a very positive note, he'll probably be so erratic and easily distracted that he won't have the time or patience to do much damage.

A write-in for a AZ candidate who is not on the write-in list does not count. I liked and supported Doctor Ward. Donations, yard signs, the whole works.

She lost and did not set up not abide by the decision — McCain got only 51%. But, I think his health won’t get him through and we would see his wife in his seat, a prospect that galls me.

But your vote isn’t going to affect that at all.

There is a chance that it could give the Dems another seat in Congress, which would make President Trump’s efforts more difficult.

Good post. You sir are a patriot. I am still registered as a Republican but that will be soon corrected. I can register as an Independent in Texas and still vote in any primary and then vote down ticket for conservatives in the general election.

I hope your state senate district isn’t close. The only thing standing between our firearms and confiscation is a one vote margin in the State Senate.

Down ticket protests may feel good. But they can be terribly destructive.

Sadly, I agree.

Voted Repubican since 1976 - yes, I voted for Ford. And every GOP nominee since.

But now, I’m thinking of leaving the party to be unaffiliated.

We really need to have Republicans control Congress. Trump won’t have a chance to legally change anything with Dems controlling either house.

You said it well.

I’ve watched the party rubber stamp Obama’s agenda and fail to deliver needed change.

All I’ve heard are excuses for inaction. I finally had enough.

Just mailed my wife’s and my ballots a few minutes ago...Mark up 2 for DJT...

Also voted Republican down ballot because all incumbents on my ballot are Demo-Rats and the Republican challengers are newcomers and apparently solid conservatives like Darryl Glenn...

Voted NO on all the amendments and tax hikes, and NO on judicial retention...
