Trump Drops Bomb at Al Smith Dinner: “Hillary Is So Corrupt… She’s Pretending Not to Hate Catholics”

Trump called out Hillary for her lies and corruption during his speech. He also dropped a few references about the Wikileaks documents

Donald Trump: Hillary is so corrupt. She got kicked off the Watergate Commission. How corrupt do you have to be to get kicked off the Watergate Commission. Pretty corrupt. Hillary is and has been in politics since the 70s. What’s her pitch? The economy is busted. Washington is failing. Vote for me. I’ve been working on these problems for 30 years… We’ve learned so much from Wikileaks. For instance, Hillary believes it’s vital to deceive the people by having one public policy and a totally different policy in private. (Boos) That’s OK. Of course, his references were to the anti-Catholic Hillary Campaign emails revealed by Wikileaks.

I was watching HLN news for a bit this morning. The woman reporting on this event finished her comments by telling us she flew home with the Clinton campaign. She is not part of the Clinton travelling press pool.

I have not heard anything about the watergate commission but I knew about it. This is how Trump works, he throws these bombs out there for the public to question and then it gets found out. The media sure in the hell won’t bring it up.

Correct, we are not only a political fight. We are in a spiritual fight for the very soul of our nation. One that literally depends on whether our children become communist or muslim controlled...whichever wins out. Or lose their life, because they chose not to be controlled by neither.

Are there any REAL Catholics left among their elite? hillary gave a vigorous, passionate defense for partial birth abortion. And that Cardinal is sitting there yucking it up with her?

Church leaders should be outraged. How can anyone vote for hillary and self-righteously go to communion and complain to have any respect for life?

In these next few weeks, Trump is bringing up a whole lot of real, inconvenient issues. Like Catholics whose religion is theater. A voting system that we have to believe is honest for our own good, even though it isn't. And I hope getting a whole lot of information (and hopefully lawsuits) going about Democratic campaign operatives paying disrupters to cause mayham and violence at Trump rallies!

Ping!  Beautiful.  Every FReeper must see this speech: it's a classic in this campaign.  The sound bites don't do it justice: you have to see the speech delivered in its entirety to appreciate its magnificence.

Here Trump is, at a dinner surrounded by all his enemies, exposing them for their utter corruption and deceit -- and doing so in a very funny and witty way.  Devastating!

Some of the comments I read here miss the point.  Trump's speech actually did fulfill the spirit of the coat-and-tails affair and the "roasting" format.

Trump was the gentleman that he is.  Yes, his truthful remarks at the end about Hillary's true feelings on Catholics were shocking to the party-goers.

But what do you expect at a time when our country is in extremis -- largely because of the very elites in that room.

Trump is a man of We The People. And proving that's who he really is was the very point of coming to this event and saying the things he said. In coming into this lair of the fashionably-dressed liars and destroyers of The People's Nation, he put them on notice:
