It is some of the most abhorrent and offensive comments that you can possibly imagine.” The interview made Chaffetz the first Republican in Congress to officially retract his endorsement of Trump, and by next day he would be joined by dozens of his colleagues across the country. But in Utah, conservative Mormons were already mounting a wide-scale revolt against their party’s nominee — a repudiation so swift and severe that some GOP insiders believe the deep-red state could be thrown into contention in the final weeks of the race.

Agree with what you say. I am a ‘cradle’ Episcopalian. After the Episcopal church went off the Left wing deep end, I then considered myself a traditional Anglican. Now am just fed up with all organized religion and their endless sausage-making. My church didn’t even miss me for months until the quarterly pledge receipts report was being prepared and there was a big Zero by my name. Then the phone calls came. “Where are you?”...which really meant “Where is your money?”

While the general membership interpret Daniel’s vision as the LDS Church and its theology, Joseph Smith actually taught that the stone referred to the political system, The Kingdom of God.
President John Taylor describes how Mormon leaders expect their world rule:
The priesthood will be the only legitimate ruling power under the whole heavens; for every other power and influence will be subject to it. When the millennium... is introduced all potentates, powers, and authorities-every man, woman, and child will be in subjection to The Kingdom of God; they will be under the power and dominion of the priesthood of God. In more modern times, Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, in Mormon Doctrine, reaffirms the agenda:
During the millennium . . . the church . . . will have the rule and government of the world given to it. (13)
I run into a lot of Mormon missionaries in my area. I carry a card where on one side is their belief and on the other side the Christian belief. It’s interesting that when I’m approached and they launch into their spiel and I have my rebuttal card all set.
