after a week exclusively on the NFL Network, the ever-moving Thursday Night Football topped broadcast primetime.

Still, the Thursday night matchup was down significantly from the comparable night last year. With a 6.7 overnight rating among households, the Cardinals-49ers game was off roughly 20 percent from 2015.

I don’t understand why the NFL can’t/won’t add a policy that all players will stand and respect the flag. Every employer set policies on behavior, demeanor, dress, etc., of employees. Free speech is supposed to be the issue. In my various workplaces over the years, there have been stipulations concerning politicking during work hours. NFL players are employees and their owners have a right to dictate the rules.

The NFL PTB are pussies.

I WANT the drop in ratings to make them change for the better.

The league head and owners have become quite despicable but a lot of money goes towards children’s illnesses and the military.

And the average crime rate among football players is lower than the general population.

Let’s SQUEEZE them into CHANGING.

not take glee that it was torn apart for good.

I will watch my Jets lose badly to Pittsburgh Sunday, making them 1 and 4 and ending my season anyway/

I submit that not even an idle thought entered Kapernick’s mind. What a stooge!

Some numbers from a Forbes article. A 20% percent drop in viewers means, NFL would be obligated to give 20% free commercial time.

Commercials are roughly 600K for a 30 second spot. If an advertiser bought 100 thirty-second spots, they would get 20 free commercial spots - 20 x 600K = $ 24 million the NFL would lose in just ONE market city.

The NFL is a league of dog killers, wife beaters and cop haters.

BOYCOTT - and tell a friend.

Well, let’s see....that just might be a First Amendment violation by the “NFL front office.”

A boycott is better, simply stop watching and, if you can recall whom, don’t buy anything from their sponsors.

And to make it worse, advertising revenues are use almost exclusively for player salaries. So next year, there won’t be as much money for salaries, but, big name players will still have their contracts, so new players coming on board will have even lower salaries

Cut them back to minimum wage so they can better identify with the “oppressed” ( sic). Better yet, fire the offenders — there are plenty of good ball players who’d love to play instead

The Rams of the 70s and 80s would never act like this.

They started going down when they started getting PC and removed the MNF theme song by the country artist forgot his name just because he said something about Ovomit...! loved hearing that song.... are you ready for some football ...y’all remember that one! Football used to be a very manly sport but they started bringing in the females into the men’s lock room..then they started dressing the dudes in pink ..that to me was the straw that broke the camels back! Costa is the worst thing that ever happened to football...they need to give him the boot as well.. I hate the little evil liberal weasel!!

Why is USAA sponsoring advertisements on the NFL?

The players are disrespecting military service.

Hey....USAA..... tell me how many new member/clients you are getting out of the ranks of the NFL?

Bad choice for spending the cooperative's advertising dollar.
