after a week exclusively on the NFL Network, the ever-moving Thursday Night Football topped broadcast primetime.
Still, the Thursday night matchup was down significantly from the comparable night last year. With a 6.7 overnight rating among households, the Cardinals-49ers game was off roughly 20 percent from 2015.

Hey NFL.....ALL viewers matter.....or DON:T THEY?? Idiots.
Not gonna watch the Kapernick team, or Philadelphia, or Miami. We’ll see what teams get added to that list.
The Fans and what they can do never entered Kapernick’s mind
Personally, I’m not watching another NFL game until they get rid of Kaepernick.
I’m lovin it...
Don’t watch ANY of the games.
You mean Ol’ Q-Tip? The Quarterback with the Jackson 5 Afro? Nah!
We can do better! Let’s shoot for 25% next week!
I don’t bother watching.
If they want to make a statement, they can do it on their own time.
When they are on the clock, I want to be entertained...
LA Rams - they have players using black power gang signs stuff while kneeling
Of course not. CNBC of all people was discussing it today. Their take - “over-exposure”. That’s the ticket.
It should be at least -50% by now.
isn’t sunday supposed to be skip football for one day sunday?
The continued loss of viewership will hurt the NFL where it counts: ad revenue. Not this year, but next year. The NFL front office should make a public declaration stating players ‘protesting’ will be fined the equivalent of a week’s pay, the team $50K, and the player will sit on the bench the next week, again losing a week’s pay. You can protest, but it will cost you. Ask the Dixie B*tches about that one.
Of course it doesn’t.
Nothing to do with anti-American athletes.
Agree. As long as the NFL tolerates this behavior I’m swearing off any and all support including TV viewership.
THE. NFL....”NATIONAL FELON LEAGUE” !!!
Fug 'em all! I'm boycotting the NFL, including my beloved Bucs! At least until November, when I'll head to the Bucs & Bears game in Tampa. Bears fans usually outnumber Bucs fans.
Someone needs to tell them that football has been overexposed for quite some time.
