Donald Trump is devouring Fox News
The Washington Post ^ | 10/6/2016 | Erik Wemple

Posted on 10/06/2016 2:33:35 PM PDT by tekrat

Any news outlet wishing to provide solid and comprehensive coverage of the 2016 presidential campaign cannot avoid mentioning Sean Hannity's promotion of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. "Hannity," which airs in the prime-time lineup of Fox News, is influential among conservatives and enjoys a substantial cable news audience, and its more interesting moments have a long tail on the Internet. In violation of any journalistic principle, Hannity has done a video promotion for Trump, hosted him for softball interviews too numerous to recount and even provided advice to the campaign.

BuzzFeed, the New York Times, The Washington Post and the rest of the field have reported extensively on this dynamic.

And last night, another important source of campaign news — Megyn Kelly’s own prime-time show on Fox News — covered it as well. “Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on ‘Hannity’ and pretty much only ‘Hannity’ and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days,” said the host in a segment with Stuart Stevens, a strategist who worked on the Mitt Romney campaign. Nor were those remarks an out-of-the-blue, impolitic slam on a colleague. Just before uttering that point, Kelly ripped into Hillary Clinton for pursuing a similar self-sheltering policy: “Now they’re both in their own version of a presidential protection program … They’ve designed her situation so she’s not in a place where she’s feels uncomfortable … which is why she sat for a half an hour with Mary J. Blige the singer, which is why she did Entertainment Tonight this evening, which is why we just found out that when she went on the ‘Steve Harvey’ show, she had every single question given to her in writing in advance and then she feigned surprise as the questions were asked.”

Yeah, without Hannity FoxNews is just a drive-by.

Your comments perfectly mirror my feelings. Even Kimberly has become a “Dana” groupie for reasons I can’t imagine.

Trump is devouring everything, and everyone, in his path.

Tucker Carlson, Stuart Varney and Eric Bolling support Trump on Fox.

Shrillary is feigning that she is qualified to be President-—Why not feign surprise at questions on Steve Harvey Show???

I have just watched my very last Harvey show.

He isn’t serving his own people to even give her another platform.

At least this is one platform she doesn’t have to pay for-—or should I say STIFF the vendor who provided the rally sites? She owed alot of money to small vendors after her 2008 campaign. I don’t think they ever got paid.

Anyway, we have just reached peak hypocrisy, with this breaking story about Trump hitting on women.

C’mon, Trump hitting on women, what about fifty million liberals hitting on women, led by their patron “saint” William Jefferson Clinton?

It’s really a pot-kettle situation and basically therefore a pot-kettle election. So if this sleaze factor cancels out then we are back to all other political issues and there, Trump trumps Clinton big-time. (baby)

Since Greta left, I’m not sure there are any journalists left at Fox, especially ones with principles. The other networks were a lost cause long ago.

I watch Lou Dobbs, and while he serves us reports that other news organs refuse to cover, he is in a different league than William F. Buckley.

YouTube has some archival footage of Buckley at work, he was masterful.
