A school has been criticised after punishing a whole cheerleading squad after a male student said he was distracted by their short skirts.
The student at Timpview High School had “impure” thoughts after seeing the squad in their uniforms, People reports, and so his mother wrote to the school and complained.
After the formal complaint was made, rather than helping the male student to deal with the thoughts, the Utah school’s administrators appear to have punished the whole cheerleading squad.
Administrators told the cheerleading coach at the school, who told the 44-strong cheerleading squad that they should not wear their uniforms on match day.
One cheerleader told Fox 13 that she thought the school was “almost supporting a rape culture”.
Another of the squad told People: “It’s giving this boy power that when he grows up and does something to a girl, he can blame it on her skirt being too short.
“It really made me angry. Why should this boy have control over what we wear?”
But the school district has denied that the squad was told not to wear their uniforms.
A spokesperson for the Provo School District told Fox 13 that was not the case, but People reports that the administration is attempting to “find out exactly what the cheerleaders were told”.
One of the cheerleaders’ parents said: “I was shocked when my daughter came home and told me, ‘We can’t wear our uniforms on game day. They’re giving boys’ dirty thoughts.’
“I want the school to have a meeting with all of the cheerleaders and all of the parents, and I want our girls to walk out of that meeting with their heads held high. This boy’s problem has nothing to do with them.”

there is something more going on with this that is not being reported....what it is I don’t know. but I just cant imagine the school even giving lip service to the parent unless there is more to the story.

The only sure way for the tempted/offended by everything types to never be offended again is POKE YOUR EYES OUT. Blindness solves your problem. Same with Muslims who are made wild by music and general daily modern life-poke out your eyes and eardrums.Blind and deafen yourself. The world will not be altered for you. If I can stand being offended by trans everyone you can learn to cope or find the nearest window/bridge and jump.

I’ve never been a fan of cheerleaders at sporting events. I also accept that not everyone shares that sentiment.
But, this is beyond silly. High school cheerleaders, their outfits are too skimpy? Seriously? These are not professional cheerleaders, these are school girls, who I would hope have responsible parents who would not let their daughters go on to the field dressed like the professional cheeleaders do.
And this kid is bitching he’s having impure thoughts? Sounds like a muzloid.

I never saw a cheerleader without having impure thoughts. That’s why they wear the short skirts. If the cheerleaders in my day had worn granny dresses I would never have cheered.
Actually, in my day ALL the girls wore mini skirts and ALL the boys had impure thoughts. At a 40 year reunion I was told that most of the girls were thinking the same thing we were thinking. Oh, how dumb I was!
