Legislation signed this month by Gov. Jerry Brown requires California’s dairy industry to answer for its contribution to global warming by making a 40 percent cut in methane emissions in coming years. The gas, which heats the atmosphere 20 times faster than carbon dioxide, comes from the butts and burps of bovines.
One U.N. report blames livestock, which has largely escaped climate regulation, for 14.5 percent of the planet’s heat-trapping gases, as much as planes, trains and automobiles combined.

Kalifornia will simply get day old milk transported in from adjacent states.
Good for Arizona, Nevada and Oregon dairy farmers. Perhaps the Kalifornia farmers will move.
But Brown says nothing about the influx of 10 million Mexicans into the state.
Which consumes more, pollutes more, destroys more habitat? Cows or millions of Third Worlders, Jerry Geezer?
This is in a state which is actually, despite Wisconsin’s nickname as America’s Dairyland, is actually our biggest dairy state. A number of the dairy farms there are members of a trade association restricted to those with herds of 50,000 cows or more. The Democrat party is determined to destroy the state’s huge, once-vibrant economy.
Embrace climate change, Greenland will become green, Antarctica a new homeland, Siberia to have a longer growing season!

Absolute insanity! This is a faux new age religion. There is ZERO scientific evidence that California’s new regulations will ever have any measurable impact on the climate.
That means a lot of the large dairy producers are going out of business in California, which I’m sure was Moonbeam’s whole purpose of signing it.
WI haas about 1.3 million cows, CA about 1.8 million. I assume many in CA will give up their operations due to this nonsense
