Legislation signed this month by Gov. Jerry Brown requires Californias dairy industry to answer for its contribution to global warming by making a 40 percent cut in methane emissions in coming years. The gas, which heats the atmosphere 20 times faster than carbon dioxide, comes from the butts and burps of bovines.
One U.N. report blames livestock, which has largely escaped climate regulation, for 14.5 percent of the planets heat-trapping gases, as much as planes, trains and automobiles combined.

More CA insanity. Why didn’t governor Moonbeam just tax cow emissions? More money for his dream train.
I thought Democrats defended poor innocent animals. Not if they interfere with the leftist agenda. Too bad Bossy, but you and the rest of the cows are gonna be sent to...? Wait a minute, what’s gonna happen to them? Is Moonbeam gonna set up Cow Patrols to “rid” his state of these C02 causing critters? Do the animal rights kooks approve of this?
It may benefit by reducing the gross smell ...
Remeber to include plusups in the border wall budget to include extensions around the Mexifornia border.
We will need it.
Moron’s are running the country. It’s quite evident.
So now every cow in California has to have a “tailpipe”?
Dairy farming is now completely gone from the Los Angeles basin, and it will soon be gone altogether from the Southland when the last dairy farms in the Chino Valley are phased out.
Many dairy farmers have relocated to Tulare County, but thanks to this legislation, they will probably be pulling up stakes once again and moving out of state.
1,400,000 Illegal Mex’s eating bad meat and bean burritos =
500,000,000 cows eating ORGANIC grass and producing ORGANIC farts. “ORGANIC” is good! (Talk to any lib POS from NoCal!)
50% more than Wisconsin, and as much as the 2nd and 3rd producers combined (Wis and NY).
This law/regulation will drive up the cost of dairy products for everyone, nationwide.
And the vast majority of them will not even had the opportunity to vote for the comrade in the political body that imposed it.
Buy milk futures.
I can still remember the unpleasant odor of cow dung clinging to the fog rolling in from the old dairy farms in Cypress and Cerritos when I was a kid. They’re all gone, moved on to Chino. Now Chino is mostly housing developments and giant tilt,-up concrete distribution centers. The few remaining dairies will be gone in a few years.
They'll have to take 40 cents on the dollar for their land now. Much of it leveraged.
Bankruptcy for hundreds, if not thousands.
WI + NY = about 1.9 million, CA about1.8 million
The impact will be felt by all.
There's already been a significant reduction in egg production as a result of housing requirements.
Seen the price of eggs lately?
They really want Americans to wind up penniless and starving don’t they?
They are creating a scarcity problem in all corners so they can implement draconian laws as solutions, criminalize us more and gain even more power and control.
.... Hey .... I’m pretty sure that the diets of those millions and millions of South of the Border dreamers that flock across the border and live here ..... caustically fart a heck of a lot more than those vegetarian Moo Beasts.
“So now every cow in California has to have a tailpipe?”
Yes, but not any old tailpipe - only tailpipes approved by the State Dept. of Bovine Exhaust Control, a multilevel bureaucracy staffed exclusively by militant progressives.
10,000,000 farting bison=Good!
100,000,000 farting cows=bad!
Cows don't vote.
(Now look there, I bet I just gave the 'rats an idea....)
Start with the California legislature.
When you get that gas under control, move on to the cows.
Hint: They’ll never get to the cows.
Big Mistake!
10,000,000 farting bison=Good!
10,000,000 farting cows=bad!
