Trump's Ottumwa visit cancelled

OTTUMWA-Less than 24 hours ago many southeast Iowa residents were excited to learn that Presidential candidate Donald Trump would be making another visit to Ottumwa. Unfortunately, what was sure to be an event attended by hundreds or perhaps thousands, has instead been cancelled.

The event was schedule to take place Wednesday, September 28th at 2:30PM at the Ottumwa Regional Airport. The Post has received information that the Trump campaign has been forced to cancel the planned event due to the logistics of landing the plane.

Trump has visited Ottumwa before in January 2016 and landed at the Ottumwa Regional Airport at that time.

In a phone call to Arch Angel Flying Service, the FBO of the airport, we were able to get an explanation as to why the landing was impossible. An employee explained that on this visit Trump was going to be arriving on his larger sized jet that is fully-loaded. At this point in the election he is travelling with a larger entourage of people including many members of the media, which calls for a larger jet for travel. His previous visit involved a smaller jet that was capable of landing at the airport.

My age old problem I've suffered with that enables me to insert, or omit, words that are, as well as, not actually there. Of course I read it correctly after posting. By then it was too late and I decided not to correct my mistake. That word of course was NOT. LOL

Yeah, I realize that, but why would the poster add something that was not included in the actual story into the title? How exactly would that have made it more clear? The story after all was not really about his schedule. It was about why the cancellation of that particular stop had occurred.

It just struck me as a strange request/statement.

FYI, Runways are rated as to the weight of aircraft they can accommodate! Obviously, Ottumwa airport cannot accommodate a fully loaded 757! See:
