Former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Tuesday slammed Donald Trump's performance in the first presidential debate and warned that the GOP nominee's behavior should alarm world leaders.
"We think hes a danger. Hes a threat to the world," Fox, who watched the debate on Mexican television, told
The Washington Post.
"My impression was the beauty and the beast," he said.
"Hillary Clinton was gracious ... and he was very clumsy and poor in his presentation....She really looked like a statesman, and he looked very poor."
Fox pointed specifically to an exchange between Clinton and Trump about the GOP nominee's past treatment of women, specifically Alicia Machado a former Miss Universe beauty pageant winner from Venezuela whom Trump criticized for gaining weight.
"He was very aggressive and offensive to her, like he's been with everybody," Fox said.
"I think it was great of Hillary to present that one case, but [Machado] represents many other cases of how he has spoken about women, how he has spoken about we Mexicans."
Fox said he "absolutely" thinks Trump came across as bigoted and bullying during the debate.
Fox has slammed the Republican nominee, who has called for a wall along the southern border of the U.S., in the past. In advance of the GOP nominee's visit to Mexico, the two exchanged shots on Twitter, with Fox calling on Trump to "show some respect."
Hola Mister Fox!
Don’t communists talk Imperialism?
This is fantastic!
I hope he keeps doing it!
this helps us.
Trump hardly talked about the border wall. Hillary looked imperial and Trump looked ... like Trump always looks. Hey Vincent — be sure and tune in to the next two debates when Trump gets to talk more about the wall.
I hope the wall gets higher every time this moron speaks
Bump!
Hey Vic, just hush. Nobody cares what you think unless you have ideas on how to pay for the wall.
This is 100% true. These Castilian Mexicans live in their estates surrounded by high walls topped with broken glass and razor wire, protected by their armed guards, corrupt policia and Federales, and treat the campesinos and indianos like s***.
Which is exactly what the Ruling Class has in store for us in this country. Unless we are willing to fight......
go #### yourself ####.
Imperialistic?
Look Vinny, we’re not seeking to colonize your country. Sure the beaches are nice, Tequila muy bien, etc. - but we would end up with far too many people on public assistance to make the business model work!
See you at the grand opening, uh.. I mean closing, of the new wall. Did I mention it just got another 5’ taller!
Sincerely, DJT
Because it was never great?...
Doesn’t everyone know Vinnie the fox is importing his business into America. It just happens to be illegal. He is just trying not have any impediments for future growth of his business. Those illegal immigrants need to work to pay Vinnie back. /s
He is an imperialistic gringo.”
I’ll take that over socialist s***k.
See, 2 can play the cussing game.
.
El Rey de Los Tacos.
How well-liked is Fox among Mexican-Americans?
He’s as Davos-elite as they get.
Vicente Fox has a paternal ancestry direct from Germany. His Gt. Grandfather was Louis Michel Fuchs, his wife was Catherina formerly Flach. Both came as immigrants to Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an accomplished maker of items in the livery trade. He opened up a business in Mexico City, in 1897.
The name of Fuchs was changed to Fox. The Grandparents of this gentleman Vicente Fox were born in the USA. I would not think much of his chances of being where he is without this lineage.
Imperialistic Gringo = Loved by Deplorables
(this is fun)
The family name should have been changed to Zorro to make it authentically Spanish.
Is Herr, ah I mean, Senior Fox secretly working for the Donald? Does he think insulting him will make Americans vote for Hitlery?
Is there a thread for pointing out Hillary’s lies last night?
TRUMP: You called it the gold standard of trade deals. You said its the finest deal youve ever seen.
CLINTON: No.
TRUMP: And then you heard what I said about it, and all of a sudden you were against it.
CLINTON: Well, Donald, I know you live in your own reality, but that is not the facts. The facts are I did say I hoped it would be a good deal, but when it was negotiated...
From our friends at the LA times: http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trade-tpp-20160926-snap-story.html
This TPP sets the gold standard in trade agreements to open free, transparent, fair trade, the kind of environment that has the rule of law and a level playing field, she (Clinton) said then.
Sorry Hills, Slimes, but that’s a categorical statement.
Then the left coast Slimes does it’s usual buck-and-a-wing trying to square the circle here for Hillary: “What she meant to say ... “
Actually I was looking for where he referred to “our movement”.
At the time it made me feel like a paisan: “This Trump. He’s simpatico, a friend of ours. Capiche?
This is the life we have chosen, our thing. Salut!”
