Hillary calling Mr Trump "Donald"

Posted on 09/27/2016 6:55:10 AM PDT by Mysonsrdoctors

I have not seen one mention of Clinton referring to trump as ""Donald" thru the debate. Disrespectful! If Trump had called her Hilliary just once he would have been labeled terrible things. Her way of dismissing and making him less significant than her the Queen.

He did always politely, respectfully call her Secretary...

Yep. It’s a definite insult. I notice Cruz has dropped “Donald” and now goes with the more respectful “Donald Trump.”

That bothered me as well. He respectfully referred to her by her title, she condescendingly referred to him by his first name.

I was just thinking (when first reading thread heading), that ILLary was channeling her inner Ted cRuz.

I noticed it, too.
It was a ploy that really backfired, because in the debate it made him look more respectful of her than she of him.
It made her look petty and condescending, like she was talking to a servant rather than an equal..................

He called her Hillary once, but it was generally Sec. Clinton.

That was soooo obvious and she did it at every chance and in a way that was like she was saying a dirty word.

The only thing that bothered me more was the interrupting by Holt, which turned out to be 41 times to him and only 7 to her! Plus Holt gave her a lot more air time!

I was listening to reviews and analysis on Japanese news this morning and that was the first thing NHK commentators mentioned. Her supporters are immune to the lack of respect but it is a perceived derogation that will definitely raise eyebrows around the world.

I really noticed that too, when I saw the debate replay on YouTube. Hillary should have respectfully called Trump Mr. Trump, not just Donald.

Hitlery thinks if she familiarizes him by using his first name in public she is screwed.

This type of familiarzation is a form of diminueizing

people see thru this phoney crap of her.

No, that’s not it.

Hillary was plagiarizing Gov. Sarah Palin from the 2008 VP Debate when she referred to Biden as “Joe.”

Its an insult.

You call a friend by their first name in an intimate setting.

With people you don’t know, you always call them by their title and Christian name.

Hillary was low class and it showed.

It fit very well with the arrogant smirk that she wore for most of the debate. She was obviously working hard at being condescending. I hope it backfired on her. I thought she was overbearing and unlikable.

He did refer to her, at least once that I remember, as Hillary. But, so what? That’s her name.

He referred to Clinton by her first name a number of times through the debate. He also referred to her as Secretary Clinton on occasion and I don’t think she ever referred to him as “Mr. Trump”.

Trump asked Hillary if it was okay to call her Secretary Clinton.

That was a ploy taken from the Slick’s campaign of ‘92, when he refused to use the title of “president” when referring to then President Bush.

Give her some slack, she was medded up during the first part of the debate. I’m surprised she even remembered his name. I’m sure people noticed that too. At least “Donald” was sober.

Yep. The use of honorifics has a significant meaning outside of the English language and for Hillary Clinton to call Donald Trump “Donald” would be like a Japanese addressing Trump by his first name only and not by the appropriately polite “Trump-san.” I really find that condescending, so typical of Hillary’s “Me, me, me!” attitude that turns people off so much.
