During the Sunday broadcast of New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” former New York City Democratic Mayoral Candidate Andrew Stein endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, ... “I think the country’s in trouble. ... Our military is being decimated by Obama’s cuts,” ... He’ll cut taxes like JFK and Reagan did and stimulate the economy.”
Stein later added, “He’s a real doer. Hillary exemplifies the status quo.”

Dems abandon their traditional base of support. There were no longer victims, since identity politics became the rage.
Trump is the first one to pull them into Republican side but Republican establishment so eager to embrace Hispanics despise them. It has always been the case that they emulate Dems, aiming for liberal-lite.

Sadly, I think the answer is: no. They’d rather rally to the ultimate carpetbagger because they are carpetbaggers themselves, a lot of them. Some of us, born and bred, get the Donald. But we are too few.
