ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
“escrot” should be “escort”
i’m a nut. I can’t watch the next two.
I haven’t been this nervous since my last boxing match 23 years ago.
CANT watch the next two, sorry folks.
My fat heart will give.
No, he was trouncing her the first 30 minutes. But I agree the tax issue and the birther issue threw him off. He ended well.
There are no independents. If one was in the audience or watches it, then they care enough to have already made up their mind. No one was swayed or lost tonight.
“I think they need to see her complete medical records before she keels over!”
No such thing exists, Clinton Crime Syndicate has complete control over this NON issue.
It was being covered by all the media following the debate. HILLARY was no where to be seen. They were following TRUMP around like a puppy dog.
I get the sense Trump is thinking too fast to connect the dots in speech. Not just in the debate, but in general. He represents the rest of us who are breathless after 8 years of Obama.
i am reading a list of tweets on the debate. He is real she is a plastic politician. Exactly what I said.
No one cares about birtherism except beltway people. It’s a waste of time. Talk about college costs. Anything else. It won’t move people to vote one way or another.
If there was a wire, I hope Trump saw this and will mention it.
I think Trump was placed on defense, but I thought he was unaffected by it and that he was convincing, handling it very well.
Hillary chose to try to smile her way to victory, but she can not lose that obnoxious sound of the cranky librarian, or as they say, “every man’s ex-wife”.
She knew the questions and was reading the answers as she spoke. A blind man could see it. Holt let her ramble on and never interrupted her. Holt never asked one question about the Clinton Foundation or emails. Trump was pissed that she was treated with kid clothes. The smirk on her face and the way she brought up the lies about what Trump has “said” about women should show anyone how low this bitch will go and be allowed to. It’ll be the same with lefty Chris Wallace and Martha Radisch. Trump should have brought up emails more than he did and definitely the Clinton Foundation but he just forgot. You can bet he won’t forget the next time.
This is the correct spin. We need a count of how many times Holt interrupted Trump compared to her. It allowed Hillary to appear poised and Trump to appear defensive. That said, I still find the debate a draw and think with a little film study he will cream her in the next two debates.
I honestly think a mock debate is mandatory practice for him. He was caught responding defensively. Hillary found his Achilles heel. Hurt what he is proud of achieving and he will drop everything to defend himself. I love him. I understand why it happened. Hillary is evil and that is not hyperbole. She tricked him.
How dare she ask whom he owes before he becomes president. Of all people????
He got the Iranian deal mentioned two times, that was enough. He did well there.
Your comment about cyber security was one of the slow pitches that Trump missed, that would have been brilliant.
Some friends of ours who vote Republican (and do plan to vote for Trump), but aren't political junkies like us, texted to me: "Trump is disappointing."
Lester Holt: True Blue NBC. He constantly "fact checked" Trump, but left Hillary alone. Disgusting!
Thank you for that info!
