America is being held hostage by a tiny minority of absolute lunatics for whom owning two, three, eight or even 10 guns is simply not enough.
Thats the main finding of the first comprehensive study of gun owners in two decades.
Among the many findings that handgun purchases are soaring, that Americans wrongly believe they need more guns for personal safety, and that there are more privately held guns in this country than cars is a bit of news so shocking, it should embolden our spineless lawmakers in Washington:

So if gun owners represent a smaller portion of our population and nearly half of all guns are owned by dead-enders isnt it time for our politicians to realize that they dont have to listen to them anymore?
-snip
Frankly, this self-defense argument should be handled by the psychiatrists of all these fraidy cats rather than our politicians, who should be debating concrete facts, not unfounded fears.
Worse, the only thing the self-defense crowd has to fear is the self-defense crowd itself: Studies show that people who die in accidental shootings were more than three times as likely to have had a firearm in their home.

Who cares? Less than one percent of the population buys 100% of the arugula.
The “more guns in fewer hands” meme is tired & old. Liberals now make out the `fewer hands’ to be old fat white guys assembling large arsenals, and who will hopefully soon die off & leave the field to latte sipping gun hating Millenials.
The skyrocketing numbers of NICS checks puts the lie to that, unless all those checks have just a few dozen surnames, like an Amish community?
Fewer gun owners is actually fewer owners who are willing to answer questions from anonymous pollsters or nosy doctors. Bottom line.
looks like the type that probably has his own collection.......of boys
I’m soliciting further discussion here: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3471427/posts
Man, I’m behind. Need to work on that.
I think his name says he’s about 2 inches from being an azzhole
Kuntman is a perfect last name for this ball-less wonder
Well, if it’s true, the 3% gun owner figure is more than then the 2% LGBTxxxxx population. Thus, we should be able totally remake society in our image.
Yep! I tell people you can’t paint a house with a toothbrush! Right gun for right purpose. Shotguns come in numerous gauges for a reason. Trap guns not the same rise as hunting guns. Rifles a whole ‘nother thing. And of course a pistol to pack iffin yer a pistol packin’ grandmama.
Smug, self-satisfied Leftist pens another bit of bullsh*t, contributes nothing, explains nothing, obfuscates everything.
Poll taken in 2011 stated that 47% of Americans had a firearm in their residence. Must be a lot of “ loaners” out there.
Well his face comports with his last name! Kuntzman ia right!
If you like your guns, you can keep your guns
I do, and I will!
Complete the picture! Suff a banana in his mouth!
Theres a diminishing return for someone owning more than others.

I don’t see it that way. If I’m going quail hunting, I’m carrying a 20 ga. Ducks, geese, and pheasants, a 16 or a 12. If I’m shooting competition trap, or even just fun and games matches, I’m using a 12 ga.Trap gun. A 22 for plunking, Varmint rifle for varmints, larger for deer or wild boar. and a pistol for personal safety because I’m an old lady with gray hair and like to go where I please when I please with no hassle. If you’re an outdoors lover, Depending on what uses you need a gun for, you will accumulate over a lifetime more than one gun...and then of course you often keep the sentimental ones..........
Gun lovers have something everyone doesn’t have....lots and lots of memorable moments to last a lifetime.
Guns are the male equivalent to ladies shoes. For some occasions only just the right one will do.
How very right you are!
That is a good minimum, but responsible Americans should own more than 4 guns.
Long range bolt action rifle(over 400 yards).
Bolt action .22LR rifle
Semi auto .223 or larger rifle.
Semi auto .22LR rifle
Shotgun
Handgun in 9mm or larger
Handgun in .22LR
With a family of eight, all equipped, that is 56 firearms for the family, as a start.
As a charter member of the FR canoe club, I am way behind on restoring the collection I used to have.
There’s a smug face of an utter lying pansy
Of course I'd tell them: "Nope. No guns in my home."
