BKMK for when I have an hour and a half.
Ain’t nobody got time for this cult leader.
I can’t read that, and I’ll bet you can’t, either.
>>Aint nobody got time for this cult leader.
His icon is cute.
The crescent moon with three circles/pillars.
Gee, I wonder what that’s supposed to symbolize — the earth womb with 3 major monotheistic nestled inside perhaps?
Stefan Molyneux is a cult leader?
I think Stefan Molyneux does excellent videos, and this one didn’t disappoint. Thanks for sharing.
Have you ever listened to him, if so where do you get cult leader from? This one was especially good from him. It’s all about politics, not religion, and he is very pro trump as well.
Perhaps you should listen to him and perhaps then you will then know what he is about. He talks about politics, and he is very pro Trump. This one was very good in fact. Worth the listen when you get a chance, and he interjects a lot of humor in as well.
>>what he is about.

Just another charismatic (a)theistic flash in the pan of Algore’s intrawebs.
Perhaps he can slip that crescent icon sideways where the Sun don’t shine?
I personally believe in a creator, because it is the only thing that offers an explanation of how something came into existence to begin with. Evolution may indeed occur in small measures but it is incapable of creating something from nothing. Only creation holds that power, and even creation must work upon building blocks. So the creator is responsible for evolution as well.
As we look around today I see so many religions morphing into something that seems quite foreign to me. So does religion hold all of the answers? I am becoming less convinced that they do. Truth does not change over time. So surely that must mean that religion does not contain all truths, otherwise, it would stay constant. It would not change just to attract more followers to its beliefs. Do not get me wrong I have no problem with religion because I think Christianity offers a lot of good to mankind, and it is the one I most identify with. Like this country it may contain some problems, but it along with the Jewish faith offer the best hopes for mankind to police himself. When mankind polices itself then mankind lives a better more prosperous life and is afforded more freedoms. Without it life starts to become more chaotic to say the least.
The link you provided was a side of Stefan Molyneux that I had never been introduced to, I'll admit. I have only seen him talking about politics. However, he did present many valid points if you step back and look at it objectively. Did I agree with him 100%, absolutely not, but I didn't reject him totally either. I did a search for him on religion and listened to Religion and Proof, and here was my response to him.
Can't your argument against there being a creator , be the exact same argument against evolution as well? What created the environment for evolution to occur in the first place? Are you not also creating a circle from a square? Have you not created something without a beginning? Could creation and evolution be all part of the same and the fact be that evolution did not occur without a creation to begin with? So is that creation not the work of a God, even as much as you want to discount that possibility, you offer up no evidence that explains how something came into being from nothing. You are a very smart person, but please do not pretend that you have all of the answers, because you then become much less credible.
So to reject someone just because they are wrong about some things only limits yourself. Even a fool sometimes says something brilliant that people should pay attention too. No one has all the answers, and even though a person may be wrong about somethings does not mean we should totally reject them either. I still contend if you set aside your prejudices and listen to his talk about politics, you too will see him in a different light, as you have shown me a different light about him that I personally reject as well.
If not I'll understand, but I think you are missing some good analysis and arguments that you most likely would enjoy and even agree with. There are lots of people on this board that I agree with and disagree with all of the time, and that is because we are each unique individuals that bring different perspectives and even biases in with them. Just because I may disagree with them on some topics of discussion does not mean I ignore them forever more. Because often times I find I have more in agreement with them that disagreement with them, and if I rejected them totally I would never appreciate the commonalities we do share.

That was last year. Now the Molyneux wind is blowing a different direction...
[The Catholic Church Built Western Civilization]
Stefan Molyneux

Just in time for the Pope’s ecumenical rendition of “we are the world” perhaps?
In the meantime the Word is the same as He was.
I must admit that I am indeed glad that I decided to further the discussion with you even though I harbored trepidation because you never know how one will react when you question someone's point of view. Fortunately you took it the way I had intended, not as confrontational, but rather as a dialect between two polar views of dissenting opinions of, in this case, Stefan Molyneux.
If I hadn't and you had reacted differently, I would have never probably learned more about him. While I was convinced he was a very smart person and enjoyable person, at least for me to watch, I was dismayed by his Religion & Proof video. Then his intelligence was confirmed by his Catholic Church Built Western Civilization video. It shows that even with all of the misinformation he had been fed, had not so locked him into a position where he was lost forever with that point of view. That is a sign of real intelligence. He overcame that when introduced to someone who had the ability to make him see past those teachings, which provides me with encouragement that others too can be saved, as it were.
But it of course leads me to wonder why you still view him as an atheist, and why you hold such a negative view of him. To me they do not add up as logical, not that I think you to be illogical because just the opposite is the case. Which is why I am mystified to say the least.
I can never find fault with those who have not been able to accept what I accept as the truth, for I myself was slow to accept it as well. However, I also must let them know that I disagree with and why I do. Either I am a combative, or an inquisitive person, which is hard for me to say. Whatever the truth is I have come to realize that is how I personally learn, by questioning, and speaking my views.
It has been an enjoyable conversation, of which I am thankful we had the opportunity to engage in. You made it an enjoyable and enlightening experience that I will forever cherish.
While obviously God's word has not changed, it seems like his teachings are morphing in various situations and to varying degrees. When true science is at odds with teachings then this is understandable, but then it still brings in questions as to why they were at odds in the first place. To me, the answer is that it is man's transcription of what God enlightened them with and they misinterpreted either by design or misunderstanding.
>>I forgot to respond regarding the Pope.
Uhuh.
Maybe sometime, after the ride on Trump's coat tails is over, Mr. Moolonoox will have another epihany -- regarding the historic pride the Pope's fraternal organization has had regarding its association with...

Actually I see issues cropping up in all religions that seem to be going against Biblical teaching, one of the most prominent obviously being homosexual marriage.

Okay, then you are one of those that does not agree with him. Or at least I assume you are since I do not believe you support communism. 8>)
