A 36-year-old Scottish tourist wearing traditional Muslim garb had her blouse set on fire in a bizarre incident outside a pricey Fifth Ave. boutique, police sources said Monday.
The victim noticed the sleeve of her blouse was charred and smoldering in the Saturday night attack, just hours before the ceremony marking the 15-year anniversary of 9/11. She was not badly hurt.

Wouldn't A Muslim man be just as likely to attack a Muslim woman as a non-Muslim man? Then it would not be a hate crime?

Hoax. There are several every week. If someone wants to set you on fire, they’re not going to burn a bit of your sleeve, and it seems you would notice it!
If this is true, it’s horrible. However, I live in NYC, and there is NO buzz whatsoever about this story, which makes me suspect there’s something fishy about it. We’ll see.
Hope there is CCTV footage.... I suspect hoax but let’s see what is learned.....

Could be nothing. I see no video of anybody igniting anyone. All I see is black profiling of a swaggering yound man out on the town, frankly.

Figure the odds that the fire was started by:
a) muslime male burning her to protect the “honor” of the family
b) Self-immolation, on 9-11 to stage a “hate crime” to blame America, to deflect attention away from the pig-scat eating muslime cowards that attacked America on 911.
or
c) some American that just happened by set her afire. . .
I’m betting the odd are that option “a” is most likely.
Until proven otherwise, I’ll assume that she set her own sleeve on fire.
Same here. Since she didn’t notice how it happened, could very well have been ANYTHING. Could have been ash from a smoker on a crowded NYC street blew her way. I’d say labeling it a potential hate crime is a bit early until evidence suggests it
Well considering how mussies make false attack claims I wouldn’t put it past her to have either done it herself or a male accomplice.
Footage with article doesn’t settle anything, it shows an alleged suspect but not in the act.... I don’t see a lighter. That snippet of video is not evidence of anything, except that it may help to catch a perp if she can identify him.
According to the NY Times it was “Trumptards” who did this validating Hillary’s claim that Trump supporters are nothing more than Islamophobes.
There are many, many more Muslims in NYC recently than the authorities are telling us about. Some of the women are completely covered, so they could in theory commit a crime and not be identifiable through surveillance cameras. These incidents are going to increase.
