Rush Limbaugh thinks that there are two separate videos of Hillary Clinton stumbling into her car — but one of them is a fake.
Limbaugh came upon this idea apparently because the radio host does not understand that, often, pirated videos will appear on YouTube having been mirrored, or flipped, from the original source.
Limbaugh said:
In the first video, the van approaches from the left. So what they want you to believe is that they’ve simply flipped this to show you a new angle. But you can’t flip the video. I mean, you can play a video backwards, forwards, but it doesn’t change the angle you’re looking at. The footage is identical.
The second video purports to show a new angle. And this new angle shows Hillary in even greater distress, or I should say gives you a better view of the distress, than the first video. But what is intriguing to me is that nobody seems to have noticed that it can’t be the same video. How can, in one video, the van approach from the left and the door on the right side of the van open and Mrs. Clinton gets in. In the next video, same setting, but the van approaches from the right with the street being on the left of it. And then the door opens in the van, which would be the left side of the van and then Mrs. Clinton gets in.
And all of the people in the video appear to be properly placed, and they appear to be reversed, lapel pins are on the opposite lapel in the second video. It’s a really great trick, but the second video can’t be — one of the two can’t be real.

I concur, but I'm not suggesting he was the one who added the caption onto the video itself. He could have, I don't know. And in the big scheme of things, it really don't matter.☺
And Limbaugh is a whole different issue with me. I personally have zero confidence in that guy.
They have an ax to grind after Rush’s attitude in the last months of the primary. Show was unlistenable and people felt disgusted and quit listening.
Same here.
I used to structure my life around his show. He was that informative, educational, and thought provoking. The man was an excellent teacher of conservative principles at one time, and helped many a liberal escape the mind control plantation.
He sure helped me.
But things change, and so do people. Rush isn't nearly as on-his-game as he once was. Not anywhere close. Most days I think he just reels it off on automatic. He sure can sound like that a lot of the time.
These days, I keep him on for background noise. Every once in a while he'll say something to perk up my ears, but most often, he's just not firing on all cylinders - in my opinion.

Better read the transcript, then jump to your conclusions. Rush did not say what I’m reading here. He said it was a mirror, a fake, that someone did ti try yo sell it as a “different view”... He did not say what he is being accused of. Ghesh! Read the transcript!
Rush is wrong on this one.
I downloaded one of the 19-second videos of -illery’s collapse yesterday.
When Rush was saying the video could not be flipped, I loaded 2 different video editor/converter programs I have. It took 1-second to click a button and flip-to-mirror image the video. It would take another 20 seconds to save the mirror version into a separate file.
I used Freemake Video Converter and Aiseesoft Video Converter.

his subs are weak, and I am disappointed in his commentary. Rush does not go for the jugular like he used to. Something is bothering him and he is not able to share.

EXACTLY what I was just thinking reading the transcript! What’s wrong with Rush these days?
How pathetic to see so many FReepers eagerly falling for a disinformation piece from Mediaite. I heard Rush talking about this today, and this story bears no resemblance to what Rush said. After almost two decades on FreeRepublic, I am still surprised by people who comment on articles they have not read and videos they have neither seen nor heard.
Flipping a video is trivial with common & capable video software.
As I said there were two ways to get the impression that he did not understand. To clarify those two ways are:
1) Have it suggested to you by the way you learn about it.
2) Misunderstand him because you want to, due to malice or some other desire to make yourself feel smarter than him.
As somebody who is familiar with Rush and listened to him enough to know he is not a dummy about tech, I found the report of him misunderstanding dubious, but when I read his words...how he was poking fun at the people that did not realize it was reversed, I was dumbfounded by how easily Mediate and so many freepers were totatlly clueless. I have to suspect its because the headline had already planted the idea, but then I also did see a lot of malice in many of the comments, not sure how you could have missed that as well.

I am shocked by how easily so many Freepers were duped too. I did not listen to Rush today (don’t most days), but I instantly knew from the quoted words in the article he realized that the video was mirrored.
Rush gets distracted every time a new iToy or beta software to run it is released. It cuts into his "show prep" time.
I understand what he is saying. When the video is mirrored the view of Hillary is just a slight bit different. I don’t think he said one was faked. It is just an optical delusion ( Slip Mahoney used to say).
