"Deplorables" is a key moment because it neatly encapsulates Hillary's negatives: she is vicious, elitist, dishonest, divisive, lacks self-control, and holds ordinary Americans in contempt. Very good summary. It also reveals her narcissism. I suspect she thought "basket of deplorables" was a clever phrase that would win her praise, at least from her supporters. Obviously, that did not work out as she intended in the general population.

What's funny is that I'm actually inclined to cut her a lot of slack on this one.
I'm convinced that she's been strung out on medication (or worse) in almost every public appearance in the last few months.
