The media pumped up film " Southside With You", the story of the first date between Michelle & Barack Obama bombs badly on it first weekend release with a miserable three (3M) revenue intake. The movie finished #13 among the movies this weekend, not a good showing at all. Nothing more needs to be said!!! The horrible revenue numbers speak for themselves.
In a few months he will be just an unforgettable disaster. Who gives a s#!t about his first date with a wookie and her first date with a drugie!!!
It will still clean up on Oscar night.

Its a small independent film with a limited release. It was expected to make $2 million this weekend and ended up making $3 million.
Lets not kid ourseleves. There are a lot of stupid people in this country who still think the 0bamas are the Bees Knees, so this movie will do fairly well, sorry to say. The jackass still had 55% approval rating.
Trump has a hell of a task ahead of hin to wake up a very, very stupid nation. But I am glad someone is trying.

It’s basically an art house flic on limited release. Really hitting #13 at only 800 theaters is pretty good. And with a $1.5M budget it’s already profitable, so not a bomb. Sorry to disappoint.

The face sheet put out by the movie does no even list the production costs, nor the advertising budget. What do you expect from Harvey Weinstein & John Legend, the truth? No media hype. Just the truth. The truth when they spend $1.5 million to make a movie they aren’t expecting fat cash. Box Office Mojo is always slow to have budget numbers for whatever reason, IMDB and the other places all put it at 1.5M. I haven’t seen any adds for it. It’s a small release of a small picture that nobody expected to do much. But it’s profitable after 1 week, so not a bomb.
Friend....I really do feel sorry for you....you are simply lost at sea!!! I suggest you go back onto BOMJ & Deadline Hollywood and show me one film of the note and breath of the Obama flick class, that did not make more then $3,000,000 on its first weekend release. Any experienced BOM reader knows that is not a movie expected to make a lot of money. I suggest YOU find a movie with an $1.5M budget released at 800 theaters that did more than $3M on opening weekend. The good news is, none of my ego is tied to any movie so I can look at the facts, and the facts are the movie is performing well for what it is. Don’t know why you need it to fail, but it didn’t, sorry that bothers you, I suggest strong drink.

The Blair Witch Project had a production budget of $60,000.00 had an initial limited release in 27 theaters and made $1,512,054. for that weekend 7/16/1999.
Then the movie had a wide release and made $29,207,381
for that weekend. 7/30/1999.
And predictably the movie has a conglomerate 93% positive rating at Rotten Tomatoes. And predictably Hillary’s America has a 2% positive rating.
