50ml of epinephrine costs $6.00 at your local feed and supply. 50ml per 100# of body weight. That comes out to about sixty cents per adult dose.

There was a really great and far superior competitor for Epi-pen, Avi-Q or something like that (forget the specific name) but it was smaller than a pack of cigarettes and was idiot proof. But it was recalled and taken off the market and we're forced back to the monopoly Epi-pen.
This makes me wonder if the product getting yanked was political.
To: amorphous
I think this whole thing is to blur the fact that Hillary needs to have a dr follow her around with a epi pen type device to keep her upright so if it is asked she will say you must be confusing this with the epi pen story

If Martin Shkreli was demonized as the “Pharma Bro” for raising prices on drugs, is Manchin’s daughter going to be demonized as the “Pharma Ho”?

Hard to believe people actually vote for people that engage in pure greed. How repulsive. She rakes in the dough off of others misery.
That is all this is about.

So true. Today’s Wall Street Journal has an editorial about how the FDA has blocked generic competition to the EpiPen for years. I think the country in the phrase “there’s something rotten in Denmark” needs to be replaced.

Is it just a coincidence that these people connected to our government get rich?

Manchins Daughter Raked in $19 Million While Spiking Price Of EpiPen
Daily Caller ^ | 25 August 2016 | Juliegrace Brufke
West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchins daughter, Mylan CEO Heather Bresch, who has come under fire for her companys widely-slammed decision to raise the cost of the EpiPen by 461 Percent since 2007, raised her salary by a whopping 671 percent during her tenure at the pharmaceutical giant.
Breschs annual income jumped from $2,453,456 in 2007 to $18,931,068 in 2015, coinciding with the astounding price increase on the life-saving emergency allergy shot, The Chicago Tribune reports.
In addition to her astoundingly high salary, Bresch reportedly took advantage of a number of unprecedented perks, including personal use of the companys aircraft.
The EpiPen has served as a cash cow for Mylan, accounting for 40 percent of the pharmaceutical companys operating profits in 2014.
Its price has gone up form a wholesale price of $56.64 to $317.82 in just a few short years.
