Will Hillary Clintons latest ad, which attempts to scare people about Donald Trump when it comes to national security, actually wind up winning him votes? Todays Morning Joe opened by playing the ad, which features clips of Trump making various bellicose statements, e.g., I would bomb the s out of them.
Mika Brzezinski found the ad very strong: it tweaks on every level. Better than twerking on every level, we suppose. its scary, said Mika as, in a bit of unintentional humor, she imitated the sound of the fighter jet at the end of the ad.
But query: could the ad wind up winning more votes than it loses him? After eight years of leading from behind, of foreign policy disasters from Russia to Syria to Libya to Iran, could America be ready for a blunt-talking president?
Remind me: who was the president who, speaking of the Cold War, said we win, they lose?

Those fighter jets are scar-eeee.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
I don’t understand all this liberal “media” toad crap about nukes and Trump’s finger. I thought Obonzo got rid of all of our nukes. Does America even have a nuclear program anymore?
Sure that's not Twerks on every level?"
Effective in the hood maybe ... but not in America.
Great ad...FOR Trump! He is saying what most Americans say and think!
I don’t think this is a super powerful general election argument. I think it resonates with liberals only.
However...I do think that “Trump is racist” is a powerful general election emotional argument which Trump must overcome.
I think that is their best shot. I think if Trump can show that he is not “racist” (which is obviously in the real world utterly absurd), then he will pull their only argument out from under them, and interestingly, he will crush their lesser arguments entirely also...since “Trump is scary” is really only a subset of the argument “Trump is racist”. “Trump is out of control” is also not unique, and is again, only effective to the extent that it is preceded /given entree by an argument that “Trump is racist” which is a powerful argument in America at this time, not just for liberals, but also independents, moderates and even many conservaties.
That’s how I see it.
If you destroy “Trump is racist” you destroy all their other arguments as well......
I was going to say effective on liberal college campi, maybe.
Folks in the hood want safety, too.
Snowflakes? Not so much. Strength scares them.
Gee, I remember Bill Clinton bypassing Congress and bombing the shit out of Serbia.
Heck, Hillary even went there and dodged Sniper Fire.
Then there was that Aspirin Factory....
Read Daily Kos today.
The headline articles are ALL about how EVIL AND DANGEROUS Trump is, and not ONE positive article about Hillary. You aren’t even ALLOWED to discuss Hillary.
Remember, Daily Kos is the primary way MediaMatters/DNC feeds talking points to the TV talking heads.
Democrat Party like it’s 1964.
He took a good shot at that the other day with his "What have you got to lose" speech.
Not a chance. Especially now with the Left now finding out that the Clinton Foundation may have some pretty serious legal issues.
Ronald Reagan (1984): "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
He was joking during a mic check, and the recording was leaked.

Freddy Kruger trying to scare someone about Henry “Hank” Rearden.
Like that’s going to work.
No because people are now seeing the REAL Donald J. Trump via what he did, up close and personal in regards to helping the people of the State of LA.
Trump needs to find out if this story is for real

because it really is a bombshell.
How did that slide make it through all the layers of approval.
I can’t wait to see what happens next
I have never seen nor heard any justification or instance re Trump as racist.
