Something to do with payments he got from a Ukrainian leader.

Probably...He was a lobbyist. This goes back 25 years.

Go with Ukraine hit pieces. If you’re going to be the un-Obama, you can’t just ignore criminal incompetence and Clinton-like shenanigans.

I liked him. He was an expert on the primary season.

But, this could be tied to his work in the Ukraine. It is entirely possible that he doesn’t want it to be a distraction from Clinton Cash payments from foreigners.

Now it cannot be.

Most knew from the beginning that he had had employment in the Ukraine in the relatively recent past. That is not a primary campaign type issue that would have resonated with republican, primary voters.

But, the media and the democrats will attempt to exploit any opening.

Change happens, no big deal if true. I like him but he does have some baggage. Manafort was brought in for convention management, as Newt said “he’s the best vote-counter in the business”. That was important then, not now. If the new messaging is a result of Kellyanne and Bannon coming on board, I could not be more pleased.

If anyone thinks organizations only make changes when they’re in trouble, I refer you to our federal goverment. Nothing ever changes there and yet it is in BIG trouble.

“Will Manafort end up being hired by CNN or MSNBC?”

There is no question he will be looking for paying “work”.....it will be a shame if he turns publicly against President-to-be Trump.

Yes, this will sadly be the lead story on Donald Trump all over the weekend and his great visit to Louisiana may be overshadowed. Hopefully the American people will see through this camouflage.....and realize that changes happen in campaigns - it is just par for the course. What matters is what the Candidate stands for and what results he can produce.

Manafort served his purpose and did so very well. As soon as he came on board there was no chance of a contested convention. We’re on to another phase.

He was part of a lobbying firm. He was working with/for our allies.

I think it’s fine and correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t Manafort historically only ran primary campaigns??

All I know is the campaign itself is much more focused on the message and Trump does not appear to be stepping in it since Detroit and I think that is a good thing.

Manafort didn’t encourage Trump to stay on message. Trump is now on message and connecting. A huge improvement.

It looks like the “Concern trolls” here were correct. Apologies accepted.

We saw this coming. I liked Manafort, hate to see him go. Maybe he’ll be a surrogate like Lewandowsky. I really don’t think this will hurt Trump because it was basically known when he brought kellyanne and Bannon on

"Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort resigns, according to a close associate"

Let's wait and see the 15 minutes of coverage and "analysis" David, Lester, Gwen, and Scott each devote in their respective fifth-column media leftist propaganda shows tonight, or maybe the prime-time specials that repeatedly replay the announcment of the resignation.

Because this all counts in their claimed "equal coverage" policy for the two candidates. In this way the leftist media whores avoid having to show any of Trump's speeches or the large crowds lintening to him.

“And the campaign is OBVIOUSLY in great hands with Kelly and Steve”.

Yes it seems to be so. His latest speeches have been hits out of the park......and his decision to visit Louisiana today is perfect. It may give SOME BALANCE to the MSM’s emphasis on the Manafort resignation this weekend.....but I won’t hold my breath.

In my opinion, we (those Trumpers and discontented working American voters desperately wanting to stop this evil Democrat tyranny) are exactly like the those that comprised the whole of fortress England in the lead up to D-Day.

We are legion in numbers, largely quiet and purposed. Setbacks, press and sappers abound and a myriad of diversionary moves being made on both sides. Yet, we silent many are like the massive armada that, if anything, unlike Rep. Johnson's tipping of Guam, could well turn over today's wartime England and oust these sons of bitches from our realm of influence.

We persevere, we maintain, and we WILL go vote.

I think there are some questions regarding Manafort’s money, and Trump needed to clear him out. His association with Russia raises questions regarding Trump’s motives, and Trump can’t have that type of question hanging over his head with regard to Hillary and her accusations of Russia with regard to HER campaign.

I wasn’t surprised when he hired on some new people, and am not surprised to see Manafort go.

Trump is a hard man to work for. Better be on the up and up as certain small slips will find you staring at the pink piece of paper as you hunt your next job.

I think Bill Clinton is Trump’s behind-the-scene campaign manager.
