Bushie Perino said the other day Trump should quit using the American flag at his speeches. Said it’s getting hokey and people think he’s not sincere! Trump is not a professional politician but can only give a speech 1000% better than her hero GW Bush, who read every word of his speeches and still looked like a deer caught in headlights.
Yes, because he was on a teleprompter. I see a hand of the new handlers for the last few days. This week’s speeches are quite different (and great) compared to before.
Well, let’s hope some of the very few people actually listening to the talking heads will listen to his remarks for themselves. Honestly, if these “news readers” are so inept they really should be put out to pasture.
I don't think replaying the "regret" line hurts him.
If we had basic honesty in the press, the 2nd amendment, Khan, Curiel, and other manufactured issues wouldn't have hurt him either. The press read in the most negative connotation it can, plausibility is not a factor, and they run with it.
I don't know what the manufactured issue will be for this speech, and I so don't care that I'm watching a lame old Lee Marvin movie instead of CNN. I speculated they would try to paint the remarks as "not genuine," but that is hard to spin - people will come down on one side or the other of that, without help from the press.
My other speculation was that if it proves dicey to manufacture an issue out of this speech, the press will just ignore it and cover something else. And blame Trump for being boring.
You could be right, but I think the “I regret” statement he baited CNN to headline will change the complete tone of the election.

Superb speech and again, a deliberate pitch for black votes, which will be cemented in LA.
They know something inside the Trump campaign. This stop in Milwaukee (again) says something. If by some chance he can get 15% of the black vote Cankles doesn’t have a chance.
Jackson, Mississippi is 80% African-American by the way. Looks like Mr. Trump is taking his campaign directly to them.
The campaign is running on all cylinders now.
