A twisted Arkansas couple who zip-tied their 4-year-old daughter to her bed verbally abused her so relentlessly that the tot believed her name was “idiot,” police said.
Jennifer Denen, 30, and her 47-year-old boyfriend, Clarence Reed, were arrested Friday after officers found Denen’s daughter covered in bruises and dried blood.
Officers said the pair used zip ties to strap the girl to her bed — a cruel punishment for climbing on the kitchen cabinets, Ozarks First reported.
Police were called to the couple’s Hot Springs home on a child abuse tip from the Department of Human Services. When cops arrived, the girl had a black eye, a swollen face, dried blood on her head and ligature marks from being tied up.
One cop asked the girl her name.
“Idiot,” she responded.
Another child explained that Denen and Reed called the 4-year-old “idiot instead of using her name,” according to police records.
The girl was placed in protective custody. Denen and Reed were charged with domestic battery, permitting abuse of a minor and endangering welfare of a minor.

They are going to be called a lot worse than idiots in jail when the general population finds out..
If the little girl believed her name was “Idiot”, the only question is whether she was named after the mother or the father.
In my world, these two wouldn’t have even made it to booking.

I understand, but there isn’t any reason to make a child believe their name is “Idiot” while zip tying them to a bed or wherever. I don’t care what travails the parents endured in their upbringing, actually

Everyone has a choice. My parents were both abused as kids, and neither one was abusive to either my siblings or me.

God brings retribution on all gratuitous unkindness, but there is a certain situation of unkindness that really bites back, and that is unkindness to God’s own, whom only God knows about.
Everyone INCLUDING YOU threw away a lot of choice in the Garden folly.
Be very careful or you will find God holding YOU to standards that you held everyone else to.

Arkansas, strange place...Clinton’s home state. His abusiveness toward women just came naturally.
And also abuse can show on more than one level. Some may beat; some may merely use unkind words and teach callousness.
That's usually the case - but no matter, a human still knows right from wrong - they can break that chain of abuse any time they want, it's just easier to "keep doin' what 'yer doin'"
If Hillary had a second daughter? Or Obama a second son?
What the police can't take care of, the inmates will.
And, God help this "couple" if they make bail. Solitary confinement might be the safest place for them.
