The discounter’s second-quarter net income fell nearly 10%, though that was better than what most had expected. Sales at stores open at least a year fell 1.1%, reversing seven straight quarters of gains. Target shares were down more than 6% in mid-morning trading Wednesday. The quarter underscores challenges that Target and other retailers face from Amazon.com and shoppers who remain cautious about spending.

If you had just 5% of customers walking away ever since Target decided to go full retard for transgenders, there is lies a big factor. I personally think it is higher than that.
Target was having issues with grocery sales even before the transgender bathroom dust-up. For some reason they can’t keep their shelves stocked properly. Why go grocery shopping at Target if I am going to have to go to another store to get everything on my list? Grocery shopping is a pain in the @$$ as it is. Having to go to two stores just doubles it.

Looks like they overestimated the size of the pervert/deviant market.
