Was New York Times columnist Frank Bruni suggesting there could be civil unrest if Donald Trump loses big and bitterly? That seemed a likely implication of his comments on todays Morning Joe. Bruni said his fear is: what if he goes down big and goes down bitterly? I really worry about the aftermath. I worry about November 9th and forward in terms of whats been stirred up.
Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson tried to soothe poor Franks fears: We survived Bush-Gore 2000, we made it through that just fine and I think well make it through post-Trump just fine, too.

Poor Frank Bruni of the NYT seems to worry there could be riots if Trump loses.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The riots will come when Trump wins. Should Hillary take the office the war will go full tilt with civilian disarmament. IMHO, YMMV.
I don’t think Frank has much to worry about.
There will be tremendous unrest. All within the law of course.
Bed wetting liberals should keep that in mind.
I feel quite certain that if Hillary loses, there will be plenty of rioting from her outraged supporters. They’re the ones who destroy.
I’m a lot more worried about what Cankles will do on behalf of her illegal foreign donors if she loses.
oh....but the Occupiers are ok, because they are Citizen Activists......no wonder the Libs are so concerned and caring, along with the MSM, They even set up ‘Food Preference Tents’ for them at their not-so-peaceful Citizen Activist Events.
The real “bitterness” will be against the media. The sickening realization is that the inherently dishonest, corrupt and incompetent Hillary Clinton became President with the help of a worshipful media that refused to examine her record and inform the American people. People will be bitter. Divisions will be real. The country will suffer.
...and he should worry
WHERE DID ALL THESE GIRLY MEN COME FROM?
When I was a kid, an idiot like this would have been held down and smacked repeatedly by someones girlfriend. The stench of manginas is overwhelming.
I asked my colleagues, just for argument’s sake, ‘what would a Civil War look like?’, I mean, not the War Between the States or a War for Independence, but a true Civil War to overthrow the government. I doubt it would look much different than what we are seeing now. After all, there aren’t any signposts telling us that it’s started, are there?
In about twenty years, if civilization lasts that long, historians might date the beginning of the Civil War sometime in our recent past, probably coinciding with the ascendance of BLM.
Thanks for the article.
There is much more likelihood of violence if Clinton loses. We are already seeing violence during this campaign. There were riots at several of Trump’s rallies during the primaries. There have been organized attempts to disrupt his events inside the various venues. There are numerous news stories about Trump signs being stolen or vandalized, even the homes of Trump supporters have been vandalized. I’ve seen a couple of stories about guys wearing Trump’s Make America Great Again caps being assaulted.
Plus, you have to take into account the fact that the left romanticizes and glorifies violence for “the cause”, and have those with deep pockets, notably Soros, who is willing to bare the court costs for those arrested for engaging in violence. There nothing anywhere near comparable on the right, even the extreme right.
You should be afraid. The level of corruption in the government is unprecedented.
The USA is ripe for break up. Courts and Urban dwellers are in open revolt against the heartland where all their revenue comes from. It seems the citizenry could live with the wealth transfers, but not the cultural throat forcing. It’s just a matter of time until break up unless a leader, such as Trump, can force some equilibrium back into the system.
Huh. Something seems strange about that guy. Well, maybe not strange but odd. Weird. Unusual. Dang it, what’s the word I’m looking for?
You should be worried.
And shame on you for tarnishing that last name.
Should change it to Traitorino.
