I-TEAM Prison guards, police warned of possible 'Black August' attacks

By Dan Noyes Thursday, August 04, 2016 07:11PM SAN FRANCISCO -- An urgent bulletin is going out to law enforcement Wednesday, warning of a new threat of attacks against officers on the street and in prisons.
It has to do with what's called Black August.
A reporter for KGO-TV - KABC's sister station in San Francisco - obtained the bulletin from a law enforcement source.
The bulletin from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Sacramento Intelligence Unit and the FBI's National Gang Intelligence Center warns of increased risk for violence against prison guards and police officers during Black August.
The prison gang Black Guerilla Family started Black August in the 1970s to honor fallen members.
One of the most prominent, Hugo Pinell, served 46 years in solitary confinement after a San Francisco rape conviction, and after killing a prison guard and slashing the throats of two other guards who survived during an escape attempt in 1971.

Hollywood is releasing a race war movie in October. Uses the name Birth of A Nation ironically. About a slace rebellion where women and children are butchered by blacks.

“Bay View editor Mary Ratcliff is surprised her newspaper is named in the bulletin, but is worried about the message. “This statement from the Department of Justice puts black people in danger,” Ratcliff said. “Because it is promoting the idea that there is a war going on between black people and law enforcement.”

CBS Los Angeles: There’s a new warning out for law enforcement officials: The Black Guerilla Family prison gang will be coming for you.
A bulletin from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the FBI’s National Gang Intelligence Center is warning prison guards and police officers during what’s called “Black August”.
The Black Guerilla Family gang started Black August in the 1970’s to honor fallen members. The group is under the belief that prison officials conspired with the Aryan Brotherhood to have a prominent member of the Family killed last summer.
“It’s a wake-up call, sometimes officers can become complacent,” said Daniel Vasquez, a former warden at San Quentin State Prison in California. “Not only police officers but officers in prison, they can become complacent.”
The Black Guerilla Family gang is reportedly going to ambush officers parked in alleys and side streets.
The FBI and Bureau of Prisons declined to comment.
It’s not racist when they call themselves Guerillas.

And the attacks will occur across the country, not just in California, and will likely occur during the BGF’s memorial celebration of Black August.”
