Pope: not right to talk about a 'violent, terrorist' Islam

Pope Francis on Sunday said he won't label Islam as "terrorist" because that would be unfair and not true.

Reporters aboard the papal plane flying him home after a pilgrimage to Poland that began the day after extremists slit the throat of an elderly priest celebrating Mass in a French church, asked him why he never uses the world "Islam" to describe terrorism or other violence.

While in Poland, Francis made an unscheduled stop at a church in Krakow to implore God to protect people from the "devastating wave" of terrorism in many part of the world.

Francis replied that "it's not right to identify Islam with violence. It's not right and it's not true."

This pope is spouting the liberal talking point, that Islam is not preaching hatred and violence. He’s in the tank for the idea that Muslim terrorists do not commit their atrocities in the name of Allah or Islam.

If you look at the popes who have served they have all been from Italy. The it changed with Pope John Paul II being from Polannd which ravaged by the Nazis. Then you have the last two from Germany and Argentina. The former where Nazis started and the latter a big supporter of Nazis and to where many fled after the war.

This pope is not acquainted with reality, like most liberals. I say this as an (admittedly poor) Catholic. Pope Francis spends most of his time advancing liberal causes. I'm amazed he didn't speak at the DNC.

Violent? Terrorist? What other adjectives apply to Islam as a whole?

Practice of Shari’ah law, as dictated in the Koran, is at its heart both violent and terrorist, and completely intolerant of any differing viewpoint, as well. Apostasy is perhaps the most heinous crime in the lexicon of crimes against Islam, and the one which is most consistently enforced.

Islam is an ideology even more radical than the Nationalist Socialist German Workingmen’s Party, or the Communist manifesto in “Das Kapital” as written by Karl Marx.
