KDKA posted the transcript:
Delano: Can we bring back coal jobs as Donald Trump says? Can we bring back steel jobs?
Clinton: Well, we can certainly bring back steel jobs because once we really handle the unfair trade practices that have undercut our steel industry causing layoffs and plant closures, were going to make it really clear to the rest of the world were not sitting by and watching our steel industry go any further down.
Delano: But what about coal?
Clinton: Coal is a different issue because weve got to figure out is there a technology that can create clean energy from coal?
Clinton wants to invest in research to find clean ways to burn coal but suggests our mill towns need to look beyond coal.
Clinton: If we put our minds to it, were going to revitalize coal country. Towns that have been knocked flat, were going to help them get up. We can do that with infrastructure, with advanced manufacturing. We can do that with clean energy. So Im excited because there are lots of examples of whats working. Pittsburgh look at the way Pittsburgh has reinvented itself. I remember what Pittsburgh looked like 30 years ago, Jon. I was here, and Im thrilled, she said.
In other words, Hillary just told coal miners to find other work. Disgusting.

“One possible use for all of that coal would be to put pieces in every little childs Christmas Stocking. With a note about this repurposing brought to you by Auntie Hillary”
Only children of those who voted for Hillary should get Santa’s coal.
There is technology that creates clean energy from coal and all coal fired plants have scrubbers which allow coal to be burned with very minimal emissions.
The liberals don’t care. Don’t confuse the liberals with facts such as you mention here.
The liberals have decided that fossil fuels are evil. They have decided that coal fired power plants are accelerating global warming. And if you don’t believe in the theology of global warming, you are not in favor of scientific research and all that.

This is a joke, right?
I think Trump will take PA and OH.
They probably don’t call people in the areas she said she would take their coal jobs away.
I was merely taking her link (that was not a link - at the time) and making it into a link.
But I do know that West Virginia snubbed her during the primaries for this very reason. It depends on how many rely on the coal mining business for their livelihood in Ohio & Pa.
If true, and we all know she does not attract the crowds Trump does, she is way down in the polls, and we know the convention was rigged with actors galore.
Makes sense.
I’m sure the real problem is the coal industry hasn’t donated enough to the foundation.
Hillary keeps stealing Trumps ideas. Now she’s talking about unfair trade affecting steel.
Clintons were always good at stealing politically popular ideas. She would have long been off some of her very unpopular opinions if Bernie supporters were behind her.
What a pack of lies. "Infrastructure" jobs is the first thing every leftist and/or globalist wants to throw out as some big job creation dynamo. I think the reality is that infrastructure work is constant and ongoing and even projects to address deteriorating structures will not be any great economic boom.
And "advanced manufacturing" is the same lie globalists like Hillary have been telling for a few decades. Sure, there will be advanced manufacturing, but it will be established in cheap labor nations and not in the US as long as we have the same sort of trade arrangements now in force, and that would be made even more so by TPP.
And the solar and wind fantasy to replace fossil fuels.
So... let me see if I get this straight... she goes to talk to people whose industry she is trying to destroy, tells them to find another job, and then expects them to vote for her...
Yeah... THERE’s a winning strategy right there lemmetellya...
Once they decided that carbon dioxide (what plants breathe) is a pollutant, the manufacturing age in the West was doomed.
Pie in the sky. She’s been part of an admin that put the trade practices in place to destroy the steel and coal industries. They have no intention of rolling back those trade regulations.
She’ll do I herself if she thinks she can gain any thing from a sympathy vote.
How many windmills and solar panels would be needed to generate the electricity to mill, refine, alloy, and forge enough iron ore into steel to put all those steel workers back to work?
