My dishwasher and my washer are victims of the EPA and the DOE.
I need the dishwasher to let in more water to wash correctly
I need the washer to have a higher level in the tub, in order to meet guidelines
I just installed three Koehler’s with the extra built in flush. Still have to swab it always with solids.
I’ve decided that LEDs have finally gotten cheap enough that I’m not going to buy any more Toxic Twisties. I have a case of Edisons left for dimable use, and I replenish my supply of toxic twisties with the ones I pull out of large fixtures when I switch them to LED.
Use only non ethanol premium. Standard gas blends with 10% ethanol are death on small engines.
You can’t even buy a basic, direct drive washing machine anymore.
They can’t build them under current government guidelines.
You can get edisons online search contractor bulbs 130
“Older toilets only need one flush.”
I looked in my tank, and there was plenty of space left when the tank was “full.” I installed a flapper assembly with a taller fill tube, and adjusted the float. That added a couple gallons to the flush. Works great now. The fill tube was for a French Provinchal (sp?) commode with a tall thin tank.
I believe in the three flush toilet. Once before the paperwork. Once after. And then one more time, just to spite Al Gore.
I know.
Too bad there are not any specialty under the counter retrofitters.
dishwashers used to have disposals in them No more.
Spoke with an electrician recently who advised using ONLY dimmable LED bulbs, as they have better inherent surge resistance and will last longer.
The buttons that hold the lower dishrack on my 2 year old Maytag dissolved and fell off. Not to worry; the appliance has a 10 year warranty that covers that. Bad news: the warranty covers the rack, but not the connections. My husband fixed it himself (3 out of 4 connections) with brass nuts and bolts. The 4th connection was impossible to fix.
Recommendation: be sure to buy the store warranty in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty. The store would have fixed the machine.
Hold the lever down for 3-4 seconds to dump the entire tank during a flush. The flush tube drops too fast.
The 1.27 GPF are about the ragged edge for flushing.
Had a customer with the Hi-Lo twin flush toilet. (Lo #1 and Hi #2)
All is good until a house guest hits the wrong button after taking a dump.
I hope so and that they add light bulbs to it. Would be happy to give all those screw shaped ones back to Pelosi and tell her what she can do with them.
“I saw the inside of a cat convertor that was plugged up. Basically a block version of the screen on your window. Exactly WHAT is this supposed to be filtering??!!!”
Not a filter, it is a catalyst that causes harmful compounds in your exhaust to react and change chemical structure to less harmful compounds.
only twice?
“Actually, I hand wash 100% of our silver and dish ware.”

Why?
(Not being sarcastic,I’m just curious.)
.
Yes, its because there is not enough water “surface” in the bowl.
Check to see if there is a little restricting orifice on the bowl fill tube that comes out of the fill valve. (Runs down the center of the flush tube.)
If it is a small orifice, drill it out with an 1/8” drill bit and reinstall it. Should put more water in the bowl between flushes.
I have a brand new Maytag that cleans great. I did buy top of the line though because I wanted a grinder in it. I don’t rinse dishes. Lol
Ive also found you have to use the best detergent but I had to do that in my old one too. I won’t use anything but Cascade action packs with Dawn.
I “donated” my sears front loader. I bought a used top loader old style machine from craiglist. Loved it. Finally bought a HE top loader - top loader being the operative word, and while I’m not crazy about it, it is lightyears ahead of the HE front loader. Ugh. Clothes stunk, you had to wipe out the gasket all the time ....
Pre wash cycle eh? We have that too, but it’s usually before they go in the machine.
