Bradley Cooper's appearance at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night has irked some conservative fans of the actor's portrayal of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in 2014's "American Sniper."
Cooper was spotted by TV cameras seated at the meeting in Philadelphia alongside his Russian model girlfriend, Irina Shayk.
Some Twitter users say they plan to boycott Cooper's future films over his presence at the convention. Another commented that they thought his experience playing Kyle would have rubbed off on him.

Actors are paid to play “make believe”. They are as childish as the game they play. There was a time where actors were held in low esteem. They ranked somewhere along with court jesters.
Yeah I used to wonder how tom hanks after everything he did for ww2 veterans hasn’t figured it out.

Most healthy growing and expanding societies have even formally excluded them; i.e. 16th century London would not allow actors and actresses to stay in the city over night. The Roman scorned them and refused them citizenship etc.
A guy who played a Marine is being paid to play a communist?
Say it aint so. He is a good actor but now he is on my “NO Watch” list.
I think we deserve to see that image again.
Remember, in Hollywood, “To get along, you go along”. You want to work, you’d better toe the Party Line.

This. There are hollywood types that are good people, but don't make the mistake of ever assuming their intentions based on a role they play. Actors play good and bad roles and they are simply that, roles. After their part is finished, they walk away and rarely give it a second thought. It's a paycheck for them.
It was a movie. He is an actor. If you can't separate those two facts from reality then you have big problems.
I guess some people think that actors really are the characters they portray. Sad.
On another note, I hope he was wise enough to stay away from Barbara Walters.

No kidding. American Sniper is an excellent movie, portraying the life of an American patriot and hero. I’ve watched the movie a few times, but now, if I watch it again it will always be in the back of my mind that a libtard is playing the role of Chris. I wish I hadn’t seen this article.
I watched it once but thankfully didn’t pay for it.
I was thinking about streaming the film this weekend. Not anymore.
Back in the Alias days, I saw in the IMDb message boards that he likes men. I wonder if that’s what you mean.
