Meryl Streep was pictured getting ready to address the Democratic National Convention this evening as more than 100 celebrities joined a campaign to urge Americans to deny Donald Trump the White House.
The legendary actress wore a cream-colored high-necked dress and glasses as she rehearsed her speech and did a sound check on stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.
On the second night of the convention in Philadelphia, other stars taking the stage include Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks, Girls creator Lena Dunham, actress America Ferrera and Scandal star Tony Goldwyn - who have all been regulars on the Hillary Clinton campaign trail.
Alicia Keys is set to perform this evening and was pictured rehearsing during the afternoon, wearing a denim jumpsuit and colorful headwrap.
Former president Bill Clinton will also speak, followed by an appearance by Streep.
It comes after a string of celebrities took the stage on the opening night on the convention, including Eva Longoria, Sarah Silverman and Demi Lovato.
Meanwhile, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Neil Patrick Harris, Shonda Rhimes, and Macklemore are among numerous famous names who have signed MoveOn.org Political Action's #UnitedAgainstHate campaign.

Look at that lineup. Watch Trump's poll numbers go even higher after those self-absorbed, finger-wagging know-it-alls speak.
It's all about money you say?? OK
Aging dip wads from Follywood should just about finish Hellery’s attempt to gain power. No one respects this crowd of over-paid losers but the publishers of People magazine and the Democrat media hacks.
Amazes me how many people thought she was great. I, for one, thought it was a really ridiculously stupid speech just like all the other girl power speeches. Who in the hell would want Hillary or Michelle as their role models? Not me and certainly would not want them for my girls and grand-daughters!
Bunch of hypocritical pedophiles.
One atom bomb there would have solved most of America’s problems.
The celebs/actors in the late 1800s were often known to be also moonlighting as prostitutes.
Two hundreds years later, the gig continues...
Meryl Streep is the same Hollywood airhead who drove many apple farmers out of business with phony claims about Alar on apples. She is an expert on nothing other than herself.
Another hectoring harridan from Hell. “Harcourt Fenton Mudd...!”
Meryl Streep:
Perhaps the most over-rated nothing burger on the planet.
“...legendary actress...”
In whose mind?
How telling it is, that the DNC is crammed with these privileged, twisted, depraved hollyweird types.
Based on a book written by Claudia Christian from Babylon 5, it is still going on.
She indicates she did time entertaining for the Sultan of Bruni along with many others from Hollywood.
No wonder so many foreign leaders “Love” Holly-woody.
Actually, if there was any one Hollywood “Star” that I ever naturally shuddered from, it is Meryl Streep. Frankly, she creeps me out. I don’t understand why any man would find that person ‘sexy’. I don’t see the lure in her so-called ‘allure.’
I see her and I see ‘ex-wife’ ‘mother-in-law’ and all the other icky versions of women men harbor. I have never seen one movie she starred in that I actually liked.
She looks like she’s ready to drink the kool aid and go meet the comet.
So tell me again Meryl, about how you live in a shack in the woods and eat grubs and berries to combat global warming.
Well, at least this explains what she was doing instead of rehearsing for her part in that Florence Foster Jenkins bomb she just put out.
These are all rich, self-absorbed one percenters who insist on telling people how to live, even though they live completely differently. Celebrity endorsements aren’t what they used to be. Now, they’re mostly nags.
Will the DNC write their Scripts ?
Wonder if she’ll get up there and tell us how peaceful muslims are...
