Meryl Streep was pictured getting ready to address the Democratic National Convention this evening – as more than 100 celebrities joined a campaign to urge Americans to deny Donald Trump the White House.
The legendary actress wore a cream-colored high-necked dress and glasses as she rehearsed her speech and did a sound check on stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.
On the second night of the convention in Philadelphia, other stars taking the stage include Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks, Girls creator Lena Dunham, actress America Ferrera and Scandal star Tony Goldwyn - who have all been regulars on the Hillary Clinton campaign trail.
Alicia Keys is set to perform this evening and was pictured rehearsing during the afternoon, wearing a denim jumpsuit and colorful headwrap.
Former president Bill Clinton will also speak, followed by an appearance by Streep.
It comes after a string of celebrities took the stage on the opening night on the convention, including Eva Longoria, Sarah Silverman and Demi Lovato.
Meanwhile, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Neil Patrick Harris, Shonda Rhimes, and Macklemore are among numerous famous names who have signed MoveOn.org Political Action's #UnitedAgainstHate campaign.

I’ve never understood why people who deal in fantasy and delusion are accorded that status; and never will.
Hollywood is the biggest center of Groupthink on the planet.
The DNC made too many references to gender. Big mistake -- the whole event reeked of identity politics, and an agenda.
I am not voting for Trump because he is male. During the RNC the focus was on the country, not self-perceived "disadvantaged" groups.

After avoiding anything to do with Streep for years, I was considering seeing the new movie “Florence Foster Jenkins”, but now I just can’t bring myself to buy a ticket. I simply refuse to put another penny in the pocket of these insufferable assholes ever again.
I cannot think of one Meryl Streep movie I ever liked. She may be a good actress but she really never did anything I cared for.
Those were probably the only twp pictures I really watched. As for the rest of her career, NO!

Exactly! Remember the recent trip Streep took with Michelle and the girls on yet another vacation? I wonder if this appearance had anything to do with it? This Hollywood line up seems to be arranged by the white House just for Hillary.
