It's common for presidential candidates to get a bump from their conventions, and two new polls Monday suggest Donald Trump did indeed get that.
But the new polls don't just show Trump's stock rising (however temporarily that may be); they also have some very bad news for Hillary Clinton and her already-declining personal image. Indeed, politically, she's doing as bad as she ever has — if not worse.

NBC/Survey online push poll out this morning shows Trump getting NO bounce out of RNC convention and Hillary Clinton leading him. Morning Joe showed the poll like it’s legit. It’s not.
With a loss in this, her final election, Hillary could be a great role model. The lesson she will teach: Don’t stick with a predator just in the hope that you will eventually get a turn with power.
Playing victim as the former Secretary of State - one of the highest and most influential positions in government (where she had the power to illegally funnel money to the Clinton Foundation) - will be difficult to pull off with Trump. Government officials with great power are not victims of society. The corrupt ones like Hillary, victimize society.
In addition, playing femenazi victim, after going after real female victims of her husband’s rape, will be difficult to pull off with Trump. He’ll say it.
They seemed to get angrier as his speech went on. He showed himself to be a phony and sell out.
‘I wouldn’t put it past her to have Bill bumped off so she could get the sympathy vote.’
My dad and I were talking about this last night, I think it’s a certainty she’ll try something along these lines.
I’m expecting a mid-October statement that Bill is terminally ill at the very least.
