My recollection is that Trump simply mentioned that the National Enquirer ran a cover photo of Cruz’s father and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Cruz didn’t claim that the picture was inaccurate. He didn’t try to explain it.
Brings to mind Cruz calling upon Carly Fiorna to explain his womanizing.
I have yet to see what Trump said that’s so horrible. If your father was a Castro-supporting immigrant, and if people claim/assert that he was seen with Oswald, is that not worth a comment? I agree that Trump said nothing until Rafael Sr had well and truly trashed him. But I don’t believe what Trump said was worthy of a fist in the mouth.

The fact Mercer family threw him out in the street tells all of us that Jeb Cruz is in fact working with the DNC to get Hillary elected .
The Mercer family owned him and now they now want nothing to do with him says he was caught colluding with Obama / VJ and Hillary.
You made a very good point. Cruz really does love to play the victim. I hadn’t thought of it from exactly that perspective, but it is certainly true.
The Mercers’ statement was very strong. They understand that we simply cannot risk a Hillary reign. Cruz appears to think the latter would favor him in 2020. Shameful!

Without his financial backers it’s hard to see a political future for Cruz. What amazes me is that as best I can tell, Jeff Roe was still consulting for Cruz when he made his disastrous non-endorsement decision. I knew Roe was crooked, but I didn’t know he was clueless.
Yep! Daddy Cruz sure did. Why is he in the picture anyway? And Cruz’s PAC attacked Trump’s wife first. Trump fights back and Cruz is still whining about it.

This is how Trump plays. Know your opponent, set them up (often by letting them think they’ve won something), and then let them self-destruct. Or win a larger point that matters where they aren’t looking.
