The political conventions seem to birth new political stars every four years and this years Republican National Convention was no different. In 2004, a virtually unknown senator from Chicago gave an electric speech at the Democratic National Convention that thrust him into the international spotlight and set him on a path to the White House. That man was President Barack Obama. This years GOP convention didnt just produce a new rising star -- it birthed a whole dynasty of superstars. The world now knows why political pundits have been calling Donald Trumps family members his secret weapon. Trumps wife and children all hit the proverbial ball out of the park with dynamite speeches that set the perfect stage for the GOP nominee to hit a home run on the conventions final night. Donald Trump didnt just hit a home run; he hit a grand slam, and he could not have done it without his family by his side. The Trumps have entered a new league -- theyve just become American royalty. Heres how the Trump family became the new Camelot in just four days.
The world waited with great anticipation to see how a Slovenian born woman -- who speaks English as her second language and prefers to be a stay-at-home mother -- would pull off a primetime speech to kick off the convention on night one. If imitation is the highest form of flattery, Melania Trump gets an A plus. Melania delivered a heartfelt speech that proved shes a woman that has both brains and beauty and it made her an instant style icon. The elegant Roksanda Margot dress she wore during her speech sold out within hours. Fashion critics are comparing her to Jackie O and Kate Middleton and shes caused a mania in the fashion world.
While most 22-year-olds are looking for the best party in town or hiding in their safe spaces on college campuses, Tiffany Trump found herself center stage at the ultimate political party. The recent college graduate was the first Trump child to speak at the convention. She admitted she was nervous since shes never given a speech outside of a classroom; however, you never wouldve known if she didnt mention it. The young beauty wowed the crowd and she even received praise from some of her fathers harshest critics such as Megan McCain.
On night two during Donald Trump Jr.s speech, I couldnt help but notice the striking similarities between him and the late John F. Kennedy Jr. Just like JFK Jr., Donald Jr. is a brilliant speaker, good looking, charismatic and also a savvy businessman from New York City. Not only does he share the same name as his famous father just as JFK Jr. did, theres a striking resemblance in their appearances too. After Donald Jr.s speech, I posted on my social media pages that conservatives finally have their very own JFK Jr. Immediately my social media sites exploded and many people told me they were thinking the same thing. Even some of my liberal friends went gaga for Donald Jr. His fans are calling for him to run for president in 2024 and others even coined JFK Jr.-inspired nicknames for him such as Don Don. Theres no question Donald Trump Jr. has a bright future in politics if he ever chooses to run for office.
On Wednesday night, Trumps middle son, Eric, took the stage and quickly became the most searched speaker of the night on Google. During his speech, Eric talked about his fathers passion for helping others, a trait hes inherited from him. Similar to how Prince William and Prince Harry have carried on Princess Dianas philanthropic legacy through their own charity organizations, Eric has put his money where his mouth is as well. He founded the Eric Trump Foundation -- a charity that gives money to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital and said during his speech that there are few things that he holds closer to his heart than charity.
I got the chance to do a one-on-one interview with Ivanka Trump several years ago and Ive had a girl crush on her ever since. On Thursday night, the rest of the world learned what I already knew about her. Ivanka has what all women want: beauty, success, grace and intelligence. She somehow manages to juggle a powerful career while raising three young kids and she still finds the time to hit the campaign trail for her dad even when shes nine months pregnant. (In heels from her very own shoe line, no less!) Shes such a unique powerhouse woman. It's hard to find someone from any political dynasty to compare her to. However, after all her rave reviews, one things for sure: if she ever ran for president, theres no doubt more women would stand with her.
The kind of old school class we saw on display from the Trump family during convention week was reminiscent of the days of John F. Kennedys presidency. Its seems that the Trumps star power and grace has caused us to delete all of the cringe-worthy moments from Donald Trumps campaign from our memories faster than Hillary Clinton can wipe a server clean. Jackie Kennedy didnt believe there would ever be another Camelot. She was wrong. Americas new Royal Family has arrived.
There’s a lot to be said for that theory.

I can’t wait for Trump to have a State Dinner for a bunch of stuck up Congressmen and ambassadors and cater it from McDonalds or Taco Bell on paper plates and plastic dinnerware.
A few years ago, a poll was taken in France of the most loved King. Henri Quatre won. He is the King who made the phrase popular, “A chicken in every pot.” He wanted the poor of France to have a chicken in the pot on Sunday instead of just the rich and famous. He was the King of Navarre and was a Protestant who fought for the Protestants during the religious war. When he became the next in line for the Royal Title King of France, it was demanded that he convert to Catholicism. You will even today hear his response, “Paris is worth a Mass.” As king, he did much good for the French people of all walks of life, wrote the Edict of Nantes which gave equal rights to Protestants and was ultimately assassinated by a fanatical Catholic. He is still known as “Good King Henry.”
He inaugurated the stone bridge in Paris known as the Pont Neuf connecting isle de la Cite with the left bank in 1607 and rode across it on a white horse. The Pont Neuf( New Bridge) is actually the oldest bridge in Paris. A beautiful statue of him stands at the end of the bridge on the Cite side.
That may be, but the left will literally have a cow over this.
This is great, hope social media runs with it over and over.
Paris Hilton made a ton of money, playing the part of an airheaded bimbo. In her own way, she’s proven to be as much a genius at manipulating the media as Trump.
(That said, I agree with your point.)
When they were seated I saw Barron in a very animated conversation with Tiffany. Many young people (and many old people) would not be comfortable knowing that millions are staring at them.
I think Baron’s about 10 years old. I was obnoxious at that age, but I grew out of it. (I still have my moments.) As I remember, I was in a hurry to grow up and was furious with adults and my older siblings for treating me like a child. Give him some time.
In contrast to Bill Clinton, avoid his wife, jet the world, smoke cigars, and chase women.
I did not see that interaction with Tiffany and it is certainly some evidence against Autism.
At the very end Rience and Baron were throwing balloons from the stage into the audience like dodgeball, grinning ear to ear. I wanted to hug Rience. He must have boys, he knew just what to do.
I think the boy was Reince’s son.
Barron went offstage with his family before that.
I was never a fan of JFK, nor bought into the "Camelot" B/S. However, I did tear up when his little boy gave a salute at the funeral. Staged or not, it was powerful.
When Jackie married Onassis, a vomit-inducing political cartoon showed a castle in the air tilting to one side as if, when SHE married a commoner, the "magic" of Camelot was tarnished, if not destroyed.
Indeed. Tweens and teens in general don't like hugs from family members.
I just asked my 20 year-old son how he would have felt at 10 or 11 at a huge public event when you're young, all dressed up, and know that the cameras are on you all the time.
"Bored" was the concise reply.
I would imagine he would have been bored by all of the speakers, embarrassed by all the attention and really tired, having to stay up way past his normal bedtime.
Maybe if he were three years old and it was during the middle of the day. :)
Yup
LBJ had a lot to gain with 11/22/1963
Good one! It would be very appropriate to demonstrate what waste, fraud and abuse is all about.
The Kennedy kids never had to work a day in their lives, and thought themselves royalty. The Trump family kids actually were trained how to run businesses, and trained to respect those who worked the trades (blue collar) under them.
The Trump kids are actually smart, accomplished, and clearly well bred. The Kennedy kids became ignorant spoiled brats and ingrates of the highest degree.
Just think of the past year plus. How often has Donald been at home in NY? I think Baron is resenting the run for the presidency which has taken his Dad away from him. I don't blame him. I would be mad too. I just wanted to reach out and give him some kind of comfort. I doubt there is anything that would at this point in his life. He is the one who is sacrificing and nobody has noticed. I know it can't be helped, but America has taken his Dad away from him. I pray that he can overcome his resentment.
“I never got why people ere so impressed with John. “
Well that’s easy enough to answer even for those of us who weren’t part of his fan club. JFK was handsome and a very good speaker. Not particularly good as a President but he came across very well on television.
He had charisma. A term that interestingly enough the press first applied to his predecessor, Dwight Eisenhower.
