The Kaine pick represents the last death of hope for the more radical wing of the Democrat party that supported Bernie Sanders and were hoping for a running mate such as Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Clinton is said to have been looking at other choices such as Senator Cory Booker, who is black, and Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez, who is Hispanic, but instead went with Kaine who is white, male and a consummate Democrat political insider — having served as the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 until 2011, in addition to stints as Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Virginia after beginning his political career as the Mayor of Richmond.
Already upset Bernie Sanders supporters wasted no time in criticizing the choice. As the Washington Post reported:
…on Friday, Norman Solomon, the coordinator of a group billing itself as the Bernie Delegates Network, called Kaine “a loyal servant of oligarchy.”
“If Clinton has reached out to Bernie supporters, it appears that she has done so to stick triangulating thumbs in their eyes,” said Solomon, whose organization claims to represent hundreds of Sanders delegates attending the convention in Philadelphia but is not coordinating with the campaign.
RNC Chairman Reince Preibus released a statement about Clinton’s choice for veep:
“Hillary Clinton’s choice of Tim Kaine does nothing to unify a fractured Democrat base which is repelled by her dishonesty and cronyism,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “After spending last week pandering to grassroots Democrats with Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton has chosen someone who holds positions that she’s spent the entire primary trying to get to the left of.”
“Ultimately this is a ticket that represents one thing: four more years like the last eight, just with more corruption and scandal.

I must admit suprise. Fauxcahontas would have been a much stronger pick. Of course every time I have seen Fauxcahontas and Hillary together Fauxcahontas really upstages Hillary. Hmm... jealousy?
I think this pick may also reveal that democrats admit they have a white problem, especially a white male problem. Trump can gain white democrat men easily. This might be an attempt to keep them in the democrat party.

Most people don’t realize that Virginia has become three separate entities over the past twenty years. You’ve got the Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria “state” (extremely urbanized, very liberal, and high taxes on property), then you’ve got the coastal urban zone, and then you’ve got the rest of the state (extremely conservative).

Moderate Republicans want to get away from Trump....and Kaine makes her seem “safer” for them to at least not vote.
He could tip the scale in Virginia, which is an important state for Trump.
The Bernie Sanders crowd will voter for her anyway.
The reality is, the real rank and file Republicans can’t stand HRC, and as Pence and Trump continue along with Cruz shooting himself in the foot, they will show up and vote Trump.
Then as far as VA goes. Gore could not carry TN, Hillary won’t carry Arkansas, Paul Ryan didn’t bring in Wisc and Trump probably won’t win NY. I don’t think Kaine is popular enough to alone win VA or make a ton of difference.
The Bernie looneys will hate this, and it makes them more likely for them to sit home and not vote.

This is real, not some Hillary humor. That is highly abnormal, a seizure-like state. She has some serious neuro-pathology going on. This video should be sent to every neurologist in the country. If this woman could be the US President the voters need to know what is going on with her medical condition, and obviously she is never going to give us an honest account.
IIRC, for her “medical” statement in the campaign she went to some junior doctor near Chappaqua, NY, where she does not really live. Does anyone seriously believe that Hillary Clinton does not go to some of the top medical practitioners in the DC area?? Thus, the brief, bland medical statement is most certainly a fabrication, from a doctor who has barely attended upon her.
We do know that she had a bad fall and a long recovery. As I recall at the time, there was substantial discussion about her mental states and brain condition. This issue must be examined closely.
