The Kaine pick represents the last death of hope for the more radical wing of the Democrat party that supported Bernie Sanders and were hoping for a running mate such as Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Clinton is said to have been looking at other choices such as Senator Cory Booker, who is black, and Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez, who is Hispanic, but instead went with Kaine who is white, male and a consummate Democrat political insider — having served as the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 until 2011, in addition to stints as Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Virginia after beginning his political career as the Mayor of Richmond.
Already upset Bernie Sanders supporters wasted no time in criticizing the choice. As the Washington Post reported:
…on Friday, Norman Solomon, the coordinator of a group billing itself as the Bernie Delegates Network, called Kaine “a loyal servant of oligarchy.”
“If Clinton has reached out to Bernie supporters, it appears that she has done so to stick triangulating thumbs in their eyes,” said Solomon, whose organization claims to represent hundreds of Sanders delegates attending the convention in Philadelphia but is not coordinating with the campaign.
RNC Chairman Reince Preibus released a statement about Clinton’s choice for veep:
“Hillary Clinton’s choice of Tim Kaine does nothing to unify a fractured Democrat base which is repelled by her dishonesty and cronyism,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “After spending last week pandering to grassroots Democrats with Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton has chosen someone who holds positions that she’s spent the entire primary trying to get to the left of.”
“Ultimately this is a ticket that represents one thing: four more years like the last eight, just with more corruption and scandal.

Hillary picked Kaine because he is the only option whose personality will not overshadow hers.
Seriously, with any of the other named contenders she would have been constantly appearing as the weaker partner rather than the lead on the ticket.
The only Catholics who will vote for Kaine are Hispanics, abortionists, and bishops.
For decades this was true, and it may still be true: Every state with 80% or more Catholics had two pro-abortion Senators. Every state with single-digit Catholics had two pro-life Senators.
The bishops have twisted themselves into pretzels to keep Catholics voting Democrat. Cardinal Bernardin’s “Seamless Garment” was worth $20 Billion to the abortionists and the Democrats. The USCCB is the most effective PAC the Democrats have. It propagandizes for them, and helps logistically in bringing in endless hordes of invaders.

But I must say Kaine is who I would have advised Shillery to pick if I were inclined to give her advise. That or pander to Hispanics but she had no strong options there, Castro is so lightweight he floats. She has progressive nuts, let’s be real, they hate Kaine cause he can count to 10, unlike them, but they hate Republicans more. Reaching out to the mushy middle is smart for her. VA, one of the most important states in this election. Kaine pleases most of the rat interest groups, the baby-killers, the environazis, but he doesn’t scare RINO Trump-haters who are maybe THE key demo for Hillary. He’s a piece of toast. Toast pairs well with everything, even feces.
Look at what Jeff Flake says about Kaine, I kinda stuck up for Flake a few days ago and since then he’s made me feel stupid for doing so. First he says we should be saying that a criminal (Hillary) should be jailed. I think he’s got the Potomac rot, like Tom Coburn who used to great, it’s sad. A lot of “Catholics” who have strayed far from the path will support Hillary; “Catholics” on their third marriage outside of the Church, for example. I assume most Catholics that bother attending Mass won’t vote for Hillary (and I believe stats bear that out); I also assume there are far more Catholics that couldn’t be bothered (and the local parish closings seem to bear that out).
I learned that decades ago attending the March for Life in DC; it was a very old-school Bible-Belt Protestant event. Unfortunately, many of those denominations have suffered the same fate as the Catholic Church: Not enough members breeding and relaying the faith to a successive generation...

I thought Clinton might choose Kaine. The last seven democrat VP’s were U.S. senators. They were Biden, Gore, Mondale, Humphrey, Johnson, Barkley, and Truman. Kaine has been a senator and governor from a swing state.
